             “i know,” aether assures him, putting pressure on the bandage. “i know it does, but you’ve got to let me help, or it’ll get worse- please. you have to stay still.” he knows it’s far from pleasant, and having to tend to it... is not going to be fun, but it’s better this than infection.

golden settles on the other,  aether clutching him close. “just hang in there,” he speaks with a calm confidence- the opposite of the sheer panic he feels. he can’t lose another friend--! one gloved hand presses to the wounded side. “try not to move to much.” 

aether offers a smile, reassuring as he can be. “i’ve got you, okay?” a promise, fingers on the other’s shoulder give a squeeze. “i’ve got you.”

            emotionless eyes focuses on the other  ,  “  miss you  ??  ”  tsaritsa replies  ,  tone light as if she was bemused by zerin’s words  .  “  my dear . . . surely  ,  you didn’t think that i’d long for you after sending you away  ??  ”  the archon asks  ,  not rising from her throne as she eyes the other with curious eyes  .  of course she misses her beloved children . . . to send them to die  ,  that was painful  .             “  if i missed you  ,  i’d have a hard time letting go  ,  ”  she continues  ,  pushing herself off her seat as she descends from her perch  .  “  are you saying you’ve missed me  ??  ”  the royal asks  ,  pondering upon her own words as she approached zerin  .  “  then shall i delay your next mission for a few days  ??  it was getting quite lonely in this castle  ,  ”  she muses  ,  albeit . . . it sounds as if she was joking  .  though . . . if zerin had the intention to stay for a few days  ,  then she’ll allow it  .  the castle was empty save for the minimal staff and fatui guards . . . she could use someone a little less fearful to speak to  .
