I am very unimaginative when it comes to naming the files in my WIP folder, so here we have what's currently being worked on:

1. leave my life outside (or let me in) [wc: 19342] (in the folder 'ziam demon fic')

2. baby I'll never leave (if you keep holding me this way) - clicheficfest [1783/0] (in the folder '1dclicheficfest (due sept 1st)')

3. ace Liam wip [wc: 2593] (in the folder 'ace Liam WIP)

4. there now, steady love, so few come and don't go [wc: 5141] (in the folder 'steady love WIP')

(the last two aren't actually being worked on right now, but they're still WIP's)

And as an honorable mention:

5. poly collab (only a folder, it's planned out with @lightwoodsmagic but we haven't gotten around to writing it yet)

As you can see, I am pretty organized, usually my WIP's are all in folders (with a writing document and an idea doc), with a notification if it's for a fest (I have a separate fic fests folder where all the current WIPs for fests live), the due date, and the wordcount (plus also the minimum wordcount if it's for a fest). Plus, if I have a title, it's just named that title.

So there's four/five wip folders, so here are my tags:

Yeah, only two. I can’t stand having projects unfinished. I only write one story at a time and keep other stories I’m plotting just in my head. So these are basically both part of one fic. The first one with quite misleading title is the one where I have it how readers will get it (maybe, one day), the second one is my chaotic document with scenes and dialogues out of order, scenes that were pressing me and that I will need later on.

Disclaimer - I’m purposefully leaving out three of my WIPs since I’m undecided which I’ll be working on for the WIPs Anonymous Writing Fest, which is definitely happening! Everything else is in the someday-maybe category :)

Won’t You Blow Me Down - Kid Fic where Louis is a single dad and Harry is the really cute Music Together teacher. Lottie and Gemma may or may not have had something to do with it.

Everybody, Rock Your Body - Bachelor Party Fic in which Louis is the Best Man and Harry happens to be the really attractive (and flexible) instructor for their Pole Dancing class.

Cupcake Wars - Self indulgent Cupcake Wars Fic starring Baker Harry and Celebrity Guest Judge Louis who is in need of some extra special cupcakes for his new album release party.

Just Kidding - Kinda Sorta Kid Fic where Louis and Harry meet at a local playground and not everything is what it seems.

Birthday Surprise - Fic Bases on a Bro Pal Meme I saw a million years ago on my dash. Louis is the Birthday Boy and he’s really missing his best friend Harry. His friends have big plans.

Cape Cod Exes to Lovers - When Harry finds himself back on Cape Cod in his mother’s summer cottage nursing a broken heart, the last person he expects to see is his first love Louis - who still happens to be his neighbor. Summer on the Cape ensues, maybe even a romance.

Back Home - Harry finds himself living back home with his mother helping nurse her back to health after a bad fall. The last thing he expects is his mothers Physical Therapist to be his high school teenage dream.

Gifts and Curses - Beauty and the Beast ABO where Harry’s an Alpha with a secret and Louis is an Omega that does not want to marry Gaston.

Frozen Heart - A Frozen AU where Prince Harry has to find his newly coronated sister in the North Mountains before he’s forced to take over the Kingdom. Thankfully he finds a couple of local guides and an interesting stranger to help him on his journey. Starring Harry as Ana, Louis as Kristoff, Liam as Sven and Niall as Olaf.

Famous/Non-Famous AU - Louis is an ex-childhood star who’s best known for sharing the silver screen with now Academy Award Winner Harry. When Louis is invited to participate in an Anniversary Magazine spread and small promo signing the last person he expects to show up is Harry. Turns out some friendships are hard to forget.

10 Year Reunion AU - Harry and Louis manage to be two ships passing in the night all through high school. None of the same classes, friends or extracurriculars. Until the night of the senior banquet when they exchange yearbook messages - wish we could have gotten to know each other, maybe we will see each other around.10 years later and in the height of social media they’re getting ready for a high school reunion where the only people they care about seeing is each other.

WIP Folder

I was tagged by @disgruntledkittenface to post my WIPs/ideas for them, sooo, here we go!

1-4. I’mma just group a couple here bc FESTS. I’m lowkey planning to do four fests in the next months: the @wallsficfest the @disneydirectionfest the @hlsummerfest2020 and the @ziamfantasyfest. No prompts for any of them yet, but those are the four main ones I’ll be working on, I hope

5. Ace Liam WIP: this one is barely a drabble at this point, but it will happen eventually. When I’m not signing up for fests. 

6. Steady Love: my ‘louis sees when people are about to die’ fic that I have to write at some point but that will probably be an 80+k fic.

7. Pygmalion AU: once started with Caroline, this fic is definitely one I want to continue. Eventually.

8. I have a very extensive idea list that I’m not gonna post here because if I did I’d just want to write them even more, so let’s just keep it at that I have everything neatly posted in a folder and yet am always looking for new ideas so feel free to send stuff my way!

This was very fun to do, so thank you darling, my answers are probably not very entertaining but at least I have fics planned!

I was tagged by the lovely @runaway-train-works to share my current WIPs. Thank you! 💜

So this year has been spent signing up for pretty much every exchange and fest going, which has been awesome and I’ve loved it dearly, but it has also been exhausting and at times I’ve felt that I haven’t been able to give my all to each story. In 2020 that’s all gonna change, but for now, I have a stack of WIPs in the pipeline to satisfy my existing commitments which I am super excited about!

💜 ‘Playing To Win’ - Big Brother AU - for the HL TV Show Fic Fest. (November) The mod has been an absolute angel and allowed me an extension to complete this one. I love the story and the characters but it was always going to be complicated to write and has certainly lived up my expectations in that respect. It should be published next week!

💜 ‘If You’re Out There (I’ll Find You Somehow)’ - Hybrid Fic - for the 1D Hybrid Fic Fest. (November) This is due to post next week as well (gosh!). It has been a labour of love from the outset and is the reason I created the fest in the first place. I’ve never written anything like it before and I am absolutely dying to share it!

💜 28 Proposals Fic Fest. (December) This is anon so I can’t really say too much about it but it’s going to be fluffy and a bit smutty and has THE most gorgeous commissioned artwork (no, like seriously).

💜 HL Kink Fest. (January) I’m super excited to finish this one. I’ve selected an unusual kink and am enjoying the challenge it presents conveying it on paper.

💜 HL Royalty Fest. (February) This is based on the UK show ‘Country House Rescue’. I haven’t done much on this yet but it’s one I think about a lot while I’m driving through the countryside. It’s going to be a very soft and comforting fic because that’s how I always feel when I think about it.

💜 Big Bang. (May) This will be my first opportunity to write for Big Bang so of course, I’ve signed up to write two fics! I can’t say too much about these at the moment but I’m really looking forward to being able to take my time with them and explore the themes in them both. One is fairly lighthearted and will be pretty smutty, the other will deal with deeper emotions and hurt/comfort. Two very different fics that I’ll write concurrently to give me the opportunity to swap between them depending on my mood.

💜 ‘Clouds On Curtis’. (TBD) The pebble in my shoe. This was one of the first fics I posted to AO3 a year ago and it was a WIP, is a WIP, but will not remain a WIP. It basically needs a complete rewrite (not the plot, just the actual writing) and it’ll be tough, but I’m determined to do it.

I haven’t really got too many WIPs since I try to write one thing at a time, and I’ve just finished my christmas fest fic (coming soon to @1dchristmasfest​, please follow this blog!). I do have some in the works though:

1. with no way out and a long way down (Feb 2020) - HL Royalty fest  I’m at 11k for this fic and Harry and Louis have yet to meet so I definitely have a good chunk of fic to go. I paused this to write the Christmas fic, and then got distracted by another WIP, but I’m getting back to this soon

2. unnamed fic (No due date) This is a fic I’m not writing for any fest, just because I want to. It’s based on the Hugo Boss underwear ad Liam did recently, and features jealous/pining Zayn and ace Liam.

3. there now, steady love, so few come and don’t go (No due date) this fic is something I’ve been working on for a while, but haven’t really been working on. It’s only 2,5k but it has the potential to become a long and painful fic and we all know how much I love writing angst. 

Those are the main fics I’m really working on, but there’s a ton of ideas floating around in my head (maybe some collabs) that I haven’t really committed to paper yet.
