Storyteller Saturday: what do your characters fear? What kind of treats do they like? What kind of tricks do they play? Who tricks them and how?
I’m so sorry I didn’t get to this sooner, I saw it late and I rather do it on Saturday y’feel?
The problem is I have so many characters. So I think I’ll do this for all my main characters: Sim, Alderon, Desmines, and Laethe.
Sim: Fears being stuck in xer assigned role xer whole life (xe’s a sanitation bot). Sim can’t enjoy anything edible but xe does like dancing and traveling and discovering new things, if that counts? Sim really gets into telling jokes (especially the groan inducing ones), but xe doesn’t really grasp pranks and sarcasm, so xer college aged companions (currently unnamed) have a lot of fun telling xem “gullible” is written on the ceiling and such xD
Alderon: Fears Hunters. Like. A lot. Fire as well. Also fears his monstrous side will take over again. He’s another character who can’t enjoy food like other people do, but he does love curling up on a quiet night with a book and his SO. Alderon is very serious so he doesn’t really play tricks, though he does show a playful side with Garrick. The twins definitely prank him all. the time. He can’t really detect their lies like he can with others so he’s left floundering when they trick him.
Desmines: Fears themself, that they will always be haunted by the spirits of their dead crewmates, and that they will never improve and be better. Also fears the dark and being alone. They can actually eat, and they really like both generic chocolate bars and unconventional ones (ie ones that are spicy). They play a lot of tricks on Ruthvier because ze doesn’t get humor, but it’s really just harmless things like using metaphorical language around zer, Not many people want to trick them, just bc there’s something so haunting about them; u just end up pitying them instead. Ruthvier tries a few times but ze doesn’t ever get a true grasp on how humor works, so ze ends up pranking zerself more often haha.
Laethe: Fears she will fail the people counting on her. Also dislikes snakes and centipedes/millipedes. Not a huge fan of the dark/sensory deprivation either. She likes baked goods (like sweet buns). She uses a lot of sarcasm and teasing with her friends, and is not afraid to mock her enemies, so I guess those are her tricks. No one dares trick or prank her. No one.
