Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch
Drove from Phoenix and camped overnight 1.5 miles from trailhead. It was forecast for rain later in the afternoon so I just planned a short hike to check out the canyon.

Arizona Trip Day 7- Today we woke up early to head over to Wire Pass, a trail through a slot canyon in Utah right across the border from Arizona. Slot canyons are cliffs that have a small passageway through them, cut by a stream or smaller river, compared to large expansive canyons like the Grand Canyon cut by the raging Colorado River. It's cool to walk through the narrow pass with large colorful cliffs on either side, both sides arms distance away. These slot canyons apparently flash flood a lot, so there is a lot of mud and dried mud on the ground, and even some of the lower part of the cliff walls look like clay and have carvings from people who etched their names or handprints while it was wet. The most beautiful part was the cliffs with their wavy lines and layers of different colors, formed over the years but water and time. We relaxed in the middle of the day, and then went over to a scenic overlook of the Colorado River and the Glen Canyon Dam to watch the sunset, which was beautiful.
