#wire skeleton

So I'm making a crocheted Nicobar pigeon to enter into the state fair next year. I'm giving it a wire skeleton since I don't think it'll stand up otherwise (what with birds' little baby twig legs and all that). So yeah, here's the skeleton so far. I'm going to connect the limbs to the spine after I get all the various parts crocheted since it'll be way easier to shove the little nubs at the shoulder and hips between the stitches of the torso than trying to crochet around the limbs or whatever.

Process of making summer project - dolls and puppets. my inspiration for this project was futuristic/post-apocalyptic which i got from the game dishonoured. the skeleton for my ‘doll’ is a wire frame attached to balls of masking tape. masking tape is a great way to create a basic shape as it is easy to mould and is also on the cheaper side of materials.
