Home networking definitely not my strength.  I had a terrible time getting rid of my two routers because even though I though they were in good shape, it turns out that they were like 5 years old.  Thats not good when compared to todays technology.  That's why I'm deciding to write about it.

If your someone like me and has little or no knowledge about this type of stuff lets figure this all out together and then see what we can do with our networks.  I've been reading forums, blog posts, news reports and I still don't have a clue.  If you have any idea about where to get started I would greatly appreciate it.

I have no idea about anything technical or firmware or whatever they call it, I just want my network to be hooked up together so I can switch computers without wondering if the internet is going to work or not.  I also want to be able to keep transferring documents from computer to computer and since I was using a cable to do this, I know it still can work.

Please write me and tell me where you got started if you have been through this because I'm sick of it.
