the relationship between Jesus and Sophia has been fudged to disguise the fact that Jesus himself claimed to be conveying the wisdom not of himself…but of a divine female figure. Early on, Christians made Jesus himself the source of the wisdom he taught, rather than being merely a vehicle for Sophia… This process started very early. In Q, Jesus attributes his teachings to Wisdom/Sophia and while Luke did too, Matthew changed it. So, in Luke Jesus says, “Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles some of whom they will kill and persecute,’” while Matthew has it as “Therefore I send you . . .”
