We have many depictions of Mary as a child (maiden) and as a grown woman (mother). Does anybody know if there’s an epithet, vision, or depiction of Mary that’s older?
That’s so interesting! Unfortunately the artwork I’ve seen still depicts her as young 😔 anybody know of any that depicts her as older?

Pray for my granddad. He’s orthodox and currently in the hospital for a cancerous tumour in his bowel, and others elsewhere in his body.
Of course! I will keep him in my prayers. Also, there is an Orthodox Christian Church which does a monthly prayer service in front of the Icon of the Mother of God the Pantassa, where you can submit his name for free: https://www.st-marymagdalene.org/prayers-for-the-sick-and-suffering . And I know St Elisabeth Convent do a weekly prayer service in front of the Icon, however there is a recommended donation.
Here also is a prayer you may find comforting to pray for him:
O Lord our God, the Physician of our souls and bodies, look down upon Thy servant (name) and cure him of all infirmities of the flesh, in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, with Whom Thou art blessed, together with Thy Most Holy, Gracious, and Life-giving Spirit, always, now and forever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. O God, our help in time of need, Who are just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people. Look down upon (name) and have mercy on them and deliver them from the trouble that now besets them. Deal with him not according to his iniquities, but according to Your manifold mercies, for we are the works of Your hands, and You know our weaknesses. I pray to you to grant him Your divine helping grace, and endow him with patience and strength to endure his hardships with complete submission to Your Will.
