the sweet st agatha.
Saint Martyr Agatha
Saint Agatha is a third-century martyr who confessed Christ during the persecution of Emperor Decius against the Christians. After refusing to become the wife of a pagan judge and choosing to remain faithful to Christ, she was tortured by having her breasts cut off.
Saint Peter appeared to her in the cell where she was imprisoned and healed her.
Saint Agatha is considered a patron saint of women with breast cancer.

I love that September is dedicated to the Seven Sorrows of Mary. It’s my birth month & Our Lady of Sorrows is the title of Mary I feel most connected to.

“I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her real name was grief.”
— CS Lewis
Virgin Martyr Marina was revered as a deliverer from misfortunes and troubles, from unrighteous judgment and lawless sentences. In the Athonite proskynitaria (descriptions of holy places) from 1701 it is said that her relics heal the afflicted, give "healing to the sick, consolation to mourners, correction and forgiveness to those who live in sins." The Holy Great Martyr Marina, who defeated the devil during her lifetime, protects us against the Enemy's slanders and defamations, she intercedes for those who are overwhelmed by the spirits of malice: the possessed and mentally ill, as well as for those who are on their deathbed, driving the demons away from them.

“Spirits of malice” can be a problematic term for mental illness, especially when paired with possession, but otherwise, I love this.
Happy Pride Month to all my fellow queers! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
You are wonderfully loved and created by God. <3
I’m not adding this to the initial post itself because it’s clearly a joke, but I would like to note that divination can also become an unhealthy compulsion and harmful to your mental health, particularly if you have OCD or PTSD.
I used to spend hours at a time interrogating tarot about my traumas, abusers, etc, asking the same questions multiple times a day. I would wake up in the middle of the night with the overwhelming urge to ask tarot more questions.
Thought this is important to note since not many people talk about this!
A small Pinterest collage I made of Saint Marina with music I found fitting! She was tortured after rejecting the romantic advances of a Roman official. She’s often depicted as defeating the devil.
