She had a face from his past. A face that held pain and feeling, emotion and questions. She wasn’t the person that she had known. She was something different, something new. An old soul -- much like himself. They lost themselves in adventures, drugs, and things to numb the pain they both his so well. Maybe that was what allow them to grow closer -- knowing that someone else understood, even for a second.

Catriona introduces Batu to Moira. They take her to the park to play one day, and Mo asks him all kinds of questions. The first of which -- does he have wings? Mo draws Batu pictures, so every time she seems him, he has a stack of new pictures.
Cat begins to keep a journal of her adventures with Batu. She tells him about it one day, but only shows him if he asks to see it. The journal is full of writings and sketches.
One time, Catriona finally gets Batu to allow her to cook for him, and she sort of goes over board, spoiling him with a bunch of home cooking.
Cat has slowly been developing feelings for Batu. It’s a closer understanding than just friendship. She isn’t sure what to label it, but she knows that she would be a little more lost without him.
