See Me In Hindsight—the Hale family is alive and well in this story; Derek is in college and Stiles doesn’t find out about the supernatural until he is 18 years old when his best friend, Scott, gets bitten by a werewolf.  This means Talia brings Scott into the pack for training and Stiles comes along for moral support.  What he doesn’t realize is that Talia encouraged Derek to gain Stiles’ trust and attention—making it all too easy for manipulation because the Hales want to ensure Scott will remain in the pack.  The idea is that if Stiles has a reason to stay in the pack because Derek is his boyfriend, then Scott will want to stay as well. 

Politics play a role and when Deucalion makes a play for Derek to join the Alpha Pack, Talia orders him to break up with Stiles because he’s human and she doesn’t want to waste resources protecting him.  Plus, she thinks he’s no longer needed since Scott’s loyalty to the pack is strong than ever.  Heartbroken, Stiles leaves for college and goes on with his life, but the supernatural world (and Derek) has a way of invading his space.  Things work out in the end, so don’t worry!

Wonderful story!  The only thing I don’t like about it is that one of the character’s names is Nate. Ugh…I hate that name!
