ooop, there goes gravity. sort of. typically when a pokémon picks him up in an unconventional manner, it’s by way of psychokinesis. he’s used to such things from gängar, & from mewtwo whenever the two have a chance to reconnect. but this is ... definitely way more direct. with as little as an “ uwah ” of initial surprise, satoshi quickly resigns himself to his fate, letting his hat fall to the ground as it has so many times in similar situations. & absently thanks himself for his tight - done shoelaces, as he feels the sneaker threaten to slip his ankle loose otherwise.
circumstances as they are, the trainer simply crosses his arms, & the free leg’s ankle across the dangled - by’s knee, the parody of laid back casualness as he bends to raise his torso to be closer to level with the mischievous little scamp lifting him up.

🌈I've been DEEPLY curious about Xerneas' views on gifting immortality. What motives would they have for it, or even with cases like [side eye] ambiguous blonde man-- how they feel for that type of person. The race against the clock. Pleading hands and what have you.
Xerneas questions || Not accepting
Despite what some might think, the act of Xerneas gifting immortality is an incredibly rare event, and has only occurred once or twice throughout the entirety of history—the gifting of it to certain mythical and legendary pokemon aside. It is not something that Xerneas likes to give out, nor thinks is necessarily for any lifeform to possess, for life is meant to be transient. In order for growth, and for new live to be given the opportunity to take place, everything must have an end. Moreover, life as it is known is not just an affair overseen by the Life Pokemon, despite having dominion over it—the spirit, which exists in all forms of life, is formed Mesprit, Azelf nd Uxie. To gift immortality where it is not meant would mean ignoring the predestined fate laid out for that organism by the Lake Guardians themselves—or perhaps even Arceus in certain cases—, and therefore must require justification that exceeds any doubts or concerns in order for Xerneas to make on their own. Life has an extremely delicate balance, and even one more being living for eternity can upset it greatly—and that is their biggest concern on the matter.
So, if Xerneas was to ever grant immortality to someone, which is likely to never happen again, it would be tied to the balance of the world, in some regard. Be it to even out some way that Yveltal, or humanity, has upset the balance by bringing about too much death, or to serve as an immoveable obstacle in the face of something which wanted to create such a disturbance and no other options exist. Feelings play no role in their choice—just their responsibilities, and what role the Life Pokemon was made to embody.
where is your muse most qualified to give advice about?

wave guidance. having become a wave guardian, ryuuji decided to travel the lands in search of others like him, other aura adepts, whether they wished to join the temple of the wave, or were simply curious & preferred ryuuji's tutelage for a time. in a sense, he is a teacher of aura, now, &, having over two decades of education & experience, he is more than qualified to teach about what aura is, how to manifest one's aura, how to utilize it.
has a major turning point in your muse's life changed a perspective of life they once had?

without a doubt, discovering he was an aura adept with enough potential to be worth training was ryuuji's biggest life's turning point. prior to arriving at the temple of the wave, ryuuji had looked upon wave guiders & wave guardians as something legendary, something mythical, to be revered on the scale of the gods themselves. finding out he was capable of being one, becoming one, meeting all the students of the wave, learning about aura, it all made him realize two important things:
one, he was partially correct, wave guardians are not like the humans he knew in his home village, they are the middle ground between human & pokémon, the latter of which are middle ground between human & god, thus wave guardians & the common human are not the same. two, that all living beings were fundamentally the same, all interconnected by the energy that is aura, by fate & destiny, at the whims of both chance & the gods. the latter he was young enough to not know otherwise; he was taken into the temple at eight years old, thus he had not grown into the adult apprehension towards the pokémon of the true wild like the others of his village, like his mother, nothing exemplifying this better than ryuuji's friendship with pichu at age six, who would later become a pikachu, & a life-long partner.
what has been your muse's earliest recollection of happiness?

home. a warm meal. the scent of cooked meats & vegetables wafting into his face. flying pokémon chirping away heard through the open window. a gentle hand ruffling his hair, followed by a soft press of lips against the crown of his head.
* @wishkill : ‘ why didn’t you fight back ? ’ [ . . . ] question starters, accepting.
THE NIGHT IS QUIET AND THE NIGHT IS LEARNING TO BE GENTLE : branches that sway in the wind creak with their old age, what little moonlight there is peeks past the dense clouds like a curious child, shining through a heavy canopy and leaving wet grass dotted silver. a serene sight, if not for the absence of a kricketot’s song or the underbrush rustling with nocturnal hunters, and the DREAM - EATER'S voice —— guttural though it may be —— does little to fill the silence. ( learning, they are learning, but can do little to cease the air from going cold once shadows are cast. )
❛❛ . . . there has been enough. ❜❜
O’ LIGHT, O’ CREATOR, YOUR WORLD IS ONE WITH TEETH ! to run from shadows is to flee the setting of the sun : a sisyphean task. but man feared the dark, feared what he could not see, could not understand. oh, nightmare - bringer, what contempt you spurn ! there had been a time where conflict was as familiar to them as the throes of slumber, part and parcel as the lunar phases. terror met with terror in turn. but they are older now— they are tired.
O’ CREATOR, YOUR WORLD IS ONE WITH TEETH, and i have found my peace in this corner of it. ( my body was made hollow and bitterness has turned the pit of me to chasm ; something has bloomed there now. )
even the titans, they who would have seen their sanctuary rend to dust, were met with the same mantra. we can belong, we can all belong somewhere. wordlessly, they turn from the leaves above to their smaller kin floating nearby . . . and they think of just how withdrawn they have become despite that.
it’s here that again darkrai speaks, with an unwavering conviction and decades long weariness / with a gaze ever so icy. they sigh, knowing well where their own distance stemmed from, long since having learned not to expect understanding, but still ever - insisting, ever - stubborn. they still have not yet learned to drain the vinegar from their tone.
❛❛ i have had enough. ❜❜
