Chara rocks in Clover's fit lowkey
True! So I drew more of it. In a softy shade style cause I felt like practicing a quick version of it.

Clover looks so cozy in Charas fit oh my god
Very cozy! Chara though, not so much.
Question: Woah is that Rauska wearing clothes IN the LIGHTWORLD?Cuz I see Clover and Kanako ain't in their DarkFit®, while Rauska is just there chasing another Monster.
Also imo a cool choice to Rauska more Flowey-like since Ralsei in DR refs Flowey & Asriel alot (even the name bruh).
I also wish to hug the Rauska (wonder how [f̶̶l̶̶u̶̶f̶̶f̶̶y̶] thorny they'd be)
Yep! The Halloween comic is meant to take place in a vague post-canon where Rauska is there on the surface (light world) so he can hang out with his friends. I felt bad for leaving him out lol.
Also… happy Tetrarune Tuesday! Your ask perfectly aligned with the art I wanted to share today :p
The choice to have Rauska/Flowey as the third party member was cause I didn’t want to bring any of the adult UTY cast into it, and now it just isn’t possible. Flowey is such a standout character in yellow i wanted to have his vibes still around. He’s also technically a prince of the dark, right? At least, Rauska calls himself that.
Post-canon Rauska does not have magic and does not have thorns, though he would probably try to bite you if you hugged him and weren’t Clover or Kanako.
Just wanted to say I adore how you draw Martlet. She looks so huggable
thank you! huggable martlet is the intended side effect when i really like drawing her hugging clover :p
(excuse me for bad English, I know Clover is LGBTQ+ and not a boy or girl and I am fan of it but if I do make a mistake please excuse me because it is not my language)
I wanted to ask, what is your take on Clover's characteri and personality and beliefs of justice?
I have asked of this question to someone and their answer was long and cool. They were also LGBTQ+. I am interested to know your answer too
It amazes me of a quiet cowboy types and I saw you have deltarune but Undertale yellow, I have not finished deltarune because I do not think translation is available for me but I will check out your comic because I like your fic
If you are okay too answer another, how does your copow dynamic work? I saw it is not love romance
I believe I have seen the answer to the other person you have asked, so I will try to keep this to what differences I have.
I lean a lot more towards UTY Clover and their quiet, mostly serious yet internally silly demeanor. I headcanon that they were a parentified older sibling, meaning they were made to take care of younger kids as their parents had too many to reasonably take care of or just did not at all. Thus they grew up to feel a lot of responsibility they should not have had. This however instilled in them their sense of justice, along with movies and shows. Clover wanted to take the mantle of a hero who helped others in need seeing injustice first hand. They reluctantly left to find the missing kids because it was a more dire situation, to prove to others that they were capable, and even though they did not want to admit it they wanted to run away. They dressed the part of a "hero" because it gave them confidence.
Clover does not apply the same ideas of justice and fairness onto themself as they do with others. They do not want help or a break because they want to be capable of enduring anything. Yet they still have those moments of being silly or lighthearted because they are a kid, and they have to comfort themself somehow. They can be strongly opinionated, but often keep it to themself for fear of others reactions. They want to help anyone and everyone and are an extreme people-pleaser, up until they follow their worst impulses and they snap and blow up in anger. After an outburst, Clover always feels extremely guilty for not having a hold on their emotions, leading to that extremely repressed emotionless expression they have.
Tetrarune Clover is very much a culmination of these aspects of them. All of their worst attributes have stuck with them for so much longer, well into their teens. In chapter 1 part 1, them being angry at Kanako was not just for her being extremely insistent. I do not want to say too much about Tetrarune as I want to let the writing speak for itself, so that is all I will bring up. Thank you for being interested despite the language barrier!
My interpretation of Cocoapowder was always going to be a little different than normal shipping because I am romance repulsed, meaning I do not like typical depictions of romance to the point where it actively grosses me out sometimes. I have spent a lot of time picking apart UTRY's dynamic of Clover and Chara with how the two are portrayed in their original work. Mostly that they are both very similar in their self-sacificial nature and strong ideas of right and wrong, while being very different in Clover being a lot more forgiving and Chara holding onto grudges. Both put up facades to hide their weaknesses, both wanted monsterkind to be free regardless of the consequences, both are kids who have been failed by the adults around them.
For Chara, Clover is someone who learned the worst things about them and still believed the best in them, and showcased that humanity is not totally terrible. For Clover, Chara is someone who would advocate for them and the unfair things they've been put through, and the only one who could understand the sacrifice that they made.
I hc Clover's favorite color is green so them wearing Chara's sweater is great to see.
Tho it felt when seeing it, but I finally know why
It's because Clover was drawn more with their pink sweater on from Toriel. I'm more used to seeing them wearing it
I will be truthful, i thought the sweater Clover was wearing in the flashback WAS a green sweater (The pic on the left I drew last year). Idk I thought Toriel just dressed up all the kids the same LMAO but I now consider it was probably just Chara emulating Asriel.
It's funny, that kind of pink and purple are pretty much the only colors I don't like to put Clover in. Just doesn't fit them imo
I'm honestly a little embarrassed to admit this but Clover not being with the others in the surface art makes me a lot more emotional then it should. They deserve Martlet hugs on the surface! Asriel shove their soul back in!
As much as I'm a big sucker for Clover revivals I thought it would be fun to throw a punch to the gut this time :p
Also I was gonna make something silly because "Asriel shove their soul back in!' made me laugh but I accidentally locked in and made something serious
Sorry if this is a dumb question or one you've got before but is Tetrarune Clover canonically non-binary or are they up to interpretation like Clover in regular UTY is?
Tetrarune Clover is non-binary :)
Thank you for asking! I'd rather anyone ask than assume haha. I will say that I always portray Clover as nonbinary just cause I like that read of them, but I am biased :p
