i'm actually so sick of the "Gohan is traumatized" stuff. It's legit 90% of the talk about his character. Trauma, bugs, hates fighting. I used to acually like the trauma hc to a degree but fandom has blown it out of proportion / makes him OOC, to the point where i actually roll my eyes when I see it brought up. Gohan is a great character and I hate him seeing reduced to "trauma vicrim with anger issues"

honestly yeah, i think its right to a certain extent that he has experienced trauma that has had a lasting effect on him but . it really is a vast majority of his characterization and analysis in fandom and i really wish we could get some other content. feral gohan is a fave tho he clearly has had an issue with emotion management and id rather see that than people going on about how he is traumatized and broken etc etc

so I saw that Pokemon post and now Im thinking of my au with Goten Trunks and Marron having the 3 Kanto starters.

Marron has Squirtle (i hc she likes turtles, lives on Roshis island). Goten has Bulbasaur (he lives in nature and theres the one scene him catching a frog lol). Trunks has Charmander cause hes hotheaded like fire types

OUU that is actually really top tier because it really does suit them!!! especially marron and squirtle I was literally just thinking about kame turtle and roshi being wartortle or blastoise (or lapras since he uses that turtle as transportation ?? LMAO)

GOTEN WITH GRASS TYPES ACTUALLY HITTING SO DIFFERENT?? that would be so cute he is so nature baby

and trunks with a future-charizard,, i def can see them being nice and ego+ with each other LOL I like this idea a lot lot

Hrmmm honestly I don’t not ship it ??!!! I think cosmetically it’s very cute :> but I personally really don’t stan it partly because I think of the families as a whole rather than just trunks and Marron ? Such is the reality of hardly-seen side characters of the next generation :’(

It gives a kinda high school relationship vibe though ? Like the two really fit like study buddy vibes??? Though Marron would technically be too young to go to HS with him … :/ and he’d probably be smart enough to skip grades or something … nvm

I kinda get why vegeta is a favorite because everyone loves crazy murderer characters, and vegeta has a really obvious arc where he improves and gets better but like. 🧍‍♀️ I don’t know I feel like the stans misconstrue a lot of that too ?? Anyways he’s a good story of someone who thinks they’re the best, realizes they aren’t the best, then chases after the best forever…. I’d say I don’t know how people like him more than goku but then I remember Super exists
