Colección Miniaturas de Licor 5cl Whisky Tomintoul y Glen Deveron Tomintoul Distillery is located inside the picturesque Glenlivet estate, within the whisky producing region of Speyside. The distillery is named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland. It took us a year of searching for the purest source of spring water until we found the Ballantruan spring. This determined the location of the distillery, tucked away in picturesque countryside. The natural and unspoilt environment that surrounds us, and our focus on making great whisky, can be tasted in every glass of “the gentle dram”. Tomintoul Distillery was built in 1964. Our distillery uses traditional techniques that stretch back hundreds of years, to make our award-winning single malt, “the gentle dram”. The natural environment, fresh air and pure water all add to our uniquely smooth and mellow spirit. The Macduff Distillery Company was founded in 1962. During its history, the distillery's official name has fluctuated between Glen Deveron and MacDuff with official bottlings mostly having been released under the former. In 1972, Glen Deveron/Macduff was acquired by William Lawson Distillers Ltd. (famous for a blend by the same name), which became part of the Martini & Rossi corporation in 1980. In 1992 the owners Martini & Rossi were acquired by the Bacardi Corporation. Colección Miniaturas de Licor 5cl Whisky Bunnahabhain 12 years old and Robbie Dhu 12 years old Our beloved Bunnahabhain — which means ‘mouth of the river’ in Gaelic, as it stands at the mouth of the Margadale Spring on the shores of the Sound of Islay — first came into existence in 1883. However its origins can be traced back four years earlier when, in 1879, William Robertson of Robertson and Baxter Blending House, joined with the Greenlees Brothers to create the Islay Distillery Company. And so, with the distillery built on a site close to the Margadale River, in 1883 Bunnahabhain was borne. Robbie Dhu 12 A blended whisky based around the flavoursome malts from the heart of Speyside. Lovely honeyed flavour. Colección Miniaturas de Licor 5cl Whisky Tomatin Founded in 1897, the Tomatin whisky distillery sits at an altitude of 313m just to the west of the village of the same name and quenches its annual five million litre capacity with the pure waters of the Allt-na-Frithe. Closing briefly at the beginning of the 20th century. Following the 1985 liquidation of prior owners Tomatin Distillers Company, the Tomatin distillery became the first Scottish single malt maker to be purchased by a Japanese company; in 1986 Takara Shuzo and Okara acquired Tomatin, which stands, today, as one of Scotland’s largest distilleries. There is a profusion of indepedent bottlings, though there is a rather small house range. The Scotch from Tomatin is also used in many blends. Longmorn A missionary named Maernanaog, or Mo-ernin-og, had brought Christianity to the Picts of Moray during the 7th Century. A church was built just outside of Elgin, following his death in 625AD and named Lann Marnoch, the Church of St Marnoch.
