Pride month headcanons, day 1

For heck's sake how do you put read more in a text post??? Anyways...

So I decided since I don't want to draw something EVERY day, I'd do headcanons and little tidbits about various kirby ships I ship that follow the day. Today I will be listing gay ships!

[MORE]

Whispy x Kracko

(I call it Wispcloud)

● They have been friends for a long time.

● Kracko provides lots of rain to Whispy and will protect him from any creatures that dare try to harm him.

● "That's my tree! Find your own!"

● Whispy wishes he could return the favour but Kracko insists that his company is enough

● Well, he also gets to boop Whispy on the nose a lot with his rain.

● And I do mean A LOT

● Whispy used to be annoyed but now he thinks it's cute.

● Kracko was the first to realize "Shit I'm gay"

● But Whispy was already with Flowerey

● They're in a polyamorous relationship now-- but that's another story.

● Kracko confessed with a heart shaped cloud hecc

● Human!Modern!Wispcloud is really cute too. Think jock and nerd.

MetaGala

● So, Galacta faints from exhaustion in the middle of battle. Understandably so like hecc.

● Being the chivalrous guy he is, Meta takes Gala back to Dreamland and nurses him back to health.

● Poor Gala wakes up expecting to have to fight again, and once he realizes he doesn't, it's greatly relieving.

● Galacta explains *insert head canon that Gala is basically only alive due to being forced to battle repeatedly here*

● Guilt on Meta's part. Ouch, the guy you've been fighting is forced to do this, OUCH.

● He decides to get to know the other better,

● After sometime Gala decides he'd like to train with Meta, and they develop a schedule for this so Galacta's curse isn't activated.

● Cute training bonding is cute

● Meta confesses in private

● They keep their relationship relatively secret for a while

● But then Gala just sorta---

● "I died so many years ago, but you make me feel like it isn't so." (BtVS)

● From then on their relationship is a bit more open

DMK x MK

● "WHO THE HECK LET HIM IN HERE?!"

● Uh...it's not exactly the greatest at first.

● Love-hate relationship? Yeahhhhh-

● After some time it gets into a more "Tease each other but respect boundaries" relationship.

● Dedede puts them in a get along shirt and DMK goes "Jokes on you" and pecks MK on the cheek

● Like Metagala, they do some sparring sometimes. DMK is a bit insecure about his amount of strength and appearance.

Metalor

● Dang Meta is shipped with a lot of people who were once his enemies.

● Anyway, there's a fanfic called Trust Me by @vibrant-echoes that basically sums up my thoughts on this, but cute things anyway,

● They're both nightowls.

● "We should probably got to sleep."

"Yeah"

"..."

● They're the kind of couple who watches the stars together.

● Magolor has nightmares and Meta is a good cuddler so they're very comfortable with each other.

● The reason why Meta is so epic during that one cutscene is he is determined that Magolor can be brought back if he just...keeps trying.

● Don't even get me started on the amount of mourning there was. His absence from Triple Deluxe speaks volumes.

MetaDedede

● DEDEDE IS THE ONE WHO PLAYS THE GUITAR IN META'S INTROS--

● They knew each other in late childhood and it was so cute. Lots of innocent things that were pretty gay.

● "If you're going to be king, then, c-can I be your knight in shining armour?"

● Dedede has the misfortune of trying to get Meta to sleep.

● "Fine, I'll just be cold in bed, all alone."

"Point taken, heh."

● They are the official dads Of Kirby and Bandanna Dee... and a lot of other people.

● Dedede lets Meta sleep in.

● They go birdwatching together!!

● I would never believe the anime when it comes to Dedede's intelligence. He's actually really smart but he deals with ADHD and aspergers syndrome. Meta helps with this.

● The mirror versions are probably in love too but ya know, I'm more dedicated to this ship.

Marxolor

● Despite what every other person seems to think, I see Magolor as the more snarky of the two, if not on an equal level of snarky.

● I think this was one of my first gay Kirby ships.

● Anyway, both are seen as monsters in some parts of the world, so they support each other a lot and remind each other of the good parts of them.

● "If we're monsters, we're monsters together."

● They may or may not lowkey be a thing in Our Name.

● Marx buys (steals) jewelry for Mags, and Mags buys sweets for Marx.

● Mags confessed with chocolate roses.

● "I feel they suit you. They're sweet, soft, beautiful, intricate, rich and velvety to taste--"

● In case you couldn't tell, Mags is the flirty/smooth one.

● Carnival dates!!!

● I-can-show-you-the-world style dates!!!

● Both love dressing up fancy, so naturally, they do it together. Outfits that aesthetically go together? Even better.

These are some of the ships I find myself more dedicated to than some, but I, in no way, hate the others, so if your ship is not on here, take no offense.

CHARACTER PROFILE

Name: Wispcloud

Age: 18 moons

Clan: Darkclan

Rank: Apprentice

Mentor: Ducknose

Beliefs: Wary of other clans, privately curious about Starclan; and where her mother may be now. She's naïve, easily influenced by the opinions of others in her clan, but with a manipulatable bleeding heart for strangers. She was born rather small and weak, so she's had to fight to prove herself a worthy huntress. She'd do quite a lot to be loved.

Skills: Climbing, maneuvering in crawl spaces, jumping from tree to tree at great heights (with the appearance of flight)

Appearance: Spotted Grey American Shorthair Tabby with narrow watery blue eyes. Slim and lithe, can easily maneuver in crawl spaces and balance at great heights because of her size and gait

Story So Far: Wisp was born too small. So small, in fact, that it gave the elders pause. She was the tiniest most pitiable runt the clan had ever seen, everyone agreed. Was it kinder, then, given the demands of their life, to allow the kit a sufferless death? They were certain she'd die anyway, shivering even under the glow of the mid-summer sun. The dark and damp native to the realm didn't agree with her fragile body. Her mam would have none of it, of course, guarding the tiniest of her kits from anyone who'd want to show her mercy. To the surprise of many, her body fought, it persisted, it refused to die, huddling, blanketed under her fiercely protective mother until she was strong enough to rise onto her feet. After her mother's death, she was taken in by Mothstep and Shadestorm who couldn't have kits of their own. While they were wonderful to her, she remained devoted to her mother, secretly looking for signs that she's watching from Starclan.

When she was young, she tended to be clumsier, her legs disagreeing with the direction the rest of her body was going, causing her to alert any prey in her vicinity that she was stumbling along the damp, mossy terrain. She found use for herself, when she realised her unassuming frame, and light footsteps made her an incredibly effective stalker for prey off of the forest floor. Her nimble legs were able to perch like a bird among high branches, and leap from even some of the spindliest of twigs from one tree to the next, and her body was pretty resilient to falls when they happened. You'd imagine then, her given name would be something dynamic, or exciting or fierce, like -claw, or -storm, or -talon. But no, she's stuck with one that others her among the "ashen," "falcon," and "thorn" because she'll always be considered insipid, tiny, and fragile. She'd do a lot to change how they see her; a "whisper" buried under a roar.
