this past week I was doing shamanic reiki (which is doing reiki while keeping a shaman eye on things) for this guy who was having extreme pain in the muscles and tendons in his neck and upper chest. reiki wasn't doing much to relieve his pain, and I felt a spirit standing off to my right just watching. so I reached out my right hand to the entity and asked it to show me a better way to help. in response, I felt some energy touch my right hand and then an energy that I can best describe as 'wispy white' started to surround my hand. I let if flow through me - across my chest - and into my left hand which was still on my client's collar bone. a few seconds after that energy entered by client's energy system, he let out a groan of relief. i'll take that as a good thing... so I nodded to the entity and put both hands on his chest and let the white mist flow. He groaned some more and fell asleep. Nice. That worked. So to add to this, when I meet new people that are learning to work with energy, I usually suggest that they sit in a dim room with their fingertips together - then slowly pull them apart and look for a wispy white mist flowing between your fingers. This may be the same energy the entity showed me to use. Food for thought, perhaps this type of energy is 'ectoplasm' ? I've had the spider web feeling typically associated with ectoplasm before, and this is not the same, but who knows?
I'll try it again next time I have a situation where basic Reiki isn't getting it done. Big shout out to the entity that 'gave me a hand' the other day. =)
