And her driving motivation behind it was at the mention of Rey. Then later on when he mentions Rey again Rose literally thinks about how she wishes she could tase him again. That’s fucked up. This comes from the novelization that was just released.
And it’s already been discussed how even if was because he was “abandoning” the ship that doesn’t make it right. Finn shouldn’t be forced to join any movement, and he hadn’t at that point. Free choice is a thing that should be respected. Plus Finn wasn’t abandoning the ship, he was preventing Rey and possibly Luke from walking straight into a First Order trap. Which it’s pretty important to prevent the two last Jedi’s from falling into the hands of The First Order.
