If you have prayed Witr at the beginning of the night then Allaah enables you to get up at the end of the night, then pray whatever you can two by two – without Witr, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There cannot be no two Witrs in one night.”

QUESTION:

Can i perform other nafls after witr?

ANSWER:

No problem.

However, Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam prescribed us to pray witr as the last prayer of the night but if you happen to stay up late after offering witr and wish to pray night prayers later on or if you got up after praying witr (after isha) and wish to pray night prayers then no problem in that.

Abu Dawud reported on the authority of Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “If one of you sleeps (and thus misses) the witr Prayer or forgets it, he should pray it when he remembers it.” (Abu Dawud)

Dua-E-Qunoot (2)

Meaning: O Allah, guide me among those Thou hast guided, grant me security among those Thou hast granted security, take me into Thy charge among those Thou hast taken into Thy charge, bless me in what Thou hast given, guard me from the evil of what Thou hast decreed, for Thou dost decree, and nothing is decreed for Thee. He whom Thou befriendest is not humbled. Blessed and Exalted art Thou, our Lord.
