I would love to talk more about the practical magic au if you’re up for it!
[From this]
Donna and Jackie grow up together as sisters since Jackie was adopted into the Pinciotti family early on, and both knew as early that their family was supposed to be cursed: the men they fall in love with are doomed to an untimely death.
Growing up a dreamer and romantic, Jackie casts a real love spell on her that will allowe her to recognize and have her perfect man in her life one day. As the years go by, she forgets about it and soon, the lives of both sisters gets separated until tragedy makes her go back to each other in their old house.
The belief on the curse has made Jackie unable to find love as she has wished her whole life and the constant state of her heart is getting her away from magic and the roots of her family. Her depression starts to draw attention from bad spirits and Donna herself, who can feel her broken heart from miles away each other.
Donna decides to come back home, telling her boyfriend Casey about how she knows her sister needs her. When Casey suddenly becomes abusive, or more like, she finally sees him for who he really is, Donna rans away from him and back home, where he follows her and with Jackie’s help, they try to cast a spell to make him forget her and leave them alone, only to accidentally kill him.
Scared of what they had done, the sisters break the white magic rules by trying to resuret him only for him to try to kill Donna during his second life, Jackie kills him again trying to defend her sister and both hide the body in their childhood house’s yard, knowing nothing will ever be the same.
As bad weed starts growing in their garden, their mother knows they had done something against the rule but both refuses to confess. Midge leaves home to visit their older sister Valerie, and as Donna grows weird with the passing days, Jackie finds herself stuck in conversation with Michael, who is looking for his brother Casey.
Once she realize who Michael is, Jackie panics and let Donna know about it. They are then visited by two investigators, Eric and Hyde, who questions Donna about her relationship with Casey. After the interrogation, they discover that Casey was not only shitty to Donna, but shitty to tons of women as he is revealed to had been a serial killer of sorts.
As the boys start visiting them more often, probably suspecting them with the passing days, Donna prepares a potion to get rid of them, only to find Hyde responds to all characteristics Jackie gave on her love spell when they were children and she quickly retires the potion and tries to let Jackie know about it.
Her sister is already mesmerized by the detective and vise-versa, the more time they spend together, the more obvious the attraction between them become and just when she is ready to give the next step, Donna finally lets her know about what she knows and Jackie’s heart breaks at the fact that the only reason Hyde wants her, is her old spell.
Or that’s what she thinks.
Thinks are still weird and unstable with Donna, Jackie starts to notice that something is wandering their house and hurries their mother to come back, finally confessing to her what they did. She is quick told Donna may become dangerous since she is probably possesed by the spirit of the man they accidentally killed.
Is now Jackie’s mission to save her sister and maybe what is there between her and Hyde.
I was re-reading AB and I was wondering if you could tell us more about Jackie's seer powers?
LMAO, sure. The more I think about AB and all it was, I become more convinced it’s a big mess I have to re-write soon.
She has dreams where she can see parts of what may happen if things follow certain path. Since things are constantly changing with people’s desicions every day, she may get only glimpsets of what is to come, or full on display of a thing that will happen soon.
It’s dangerous to change things, so Midge always reminded her of this and made sure Jackie would understand the kind of power she has in her hands. This adds to her desicion of never do anything to stop the things that are to come, unless it’s too bad or dangerous. This had made her sacrifice plenty of things in order to not make a disaster, like allowing Randy to find out in time about them. It was his desicion to make to accept them or not, he chose the later.
The passt my come to her, mostly not for hers but for people around her that will soon enter into a phase of change and that glimpset of passt she has gotten has something to do with it. When she was younger, it make things difficult for her to separate from passt, present a future.
If consentrated enough, she can see the present and even feel what the person is going through. This makes her weak and she has to lay down for a while after doing it, which is why Donna is always behind her reminded her to NOT do this.
Since the visions aren’t clear, she has learned to interpretate her dreams and makes tarot lectures to find out more explanations on the visions or what is to come. She is pretty good at this.
Her dream books are various, Donna usually reads them for entertaiment. Hyde starts taking them, too, secretly to understand better when the dreams come to her, since sometimes they make her distant and distracted.
A part of her considers the visions a curse, since they don’t often let her sleep let alone live at peace. Yet, Midge and Bob made a good job at making her see that her power is hers and she can control it, and as long as she accepts that part of her, she can love it, too.
Hyde thinks it’s pretty cool, what she can do, and it makes her blush every time.
She has never learned how to use the crystal balls for visions, but she is constantly trying. Eric thinks it’s super funny because it’s a very cartoonish image.
Visons are constantly not of her but the people around her, people she loves. When they are about her, it scares her even more.
from my Witch Verse, there is also a fanfic about this.
She's a pure blood witch, both her parents are wizards and also part of the Court aka the high community of wizards.
Also, she hates the damn Court. Never had a good memory of the place and that people. After her dad got arrested, she couldn't care less about them.
Her item is a little pendant her parents ordered to be made especially for her. Every witch and wizard must have an item from their wizard parent, it will help them use their power until they learn their own ways.
Usually, the item is made by the parents, and Jackie hates that hers wasn't. At least it gives her some consolation that she saw her parents putting their energy on it. She never takes it off though.
While young, she used a love spell that went terribly wrong. She doesn't talk about it, but has never used soul spells ever again.
Contrary to Donna, she loves media about witches and enjoy the stupidities some humans have done about them out there.
She adores watching re-runs of Sabrina with Fez, and they do scenes between Sabrina and Salem to piss off Donna.
Pop culture junkie in general, she is always cracking some random references into conversations.
In fact, she knew Steven was her soul mate when he got her ‘Practical Magic’ reference about the love spell...
Her favorite witch movie is 'Practical Magic', she loves that she and Donna could dress up as the sisters easily and convinces her to do so for their Halloween Party.
Like Donna, she dislikes Harry Potter and gets into heated arguments about it with Eric constantly.
Her special ability is fortune teller. She also suffers (because she really hates it) dream visions of things that are happening, will happen or happened. The problem with said visions is that they are never like she dreams it, her dreams are for her to interpretate.
For her own well being, she learned the arts of fortune and is incredibly good at it.
She is also the WORST at potions. She knows the theory perfectly, is a perfect A+ witch when it comes to spells and history, and yes, theory... but never put her to cook. She's the damn worst.
