Fill it out here to join!
Okay all, since @offalteeth is busy right now, I’ve taken it upon myself to organize this Winter’s Familiar Exchange myself. As such, the rules will pretty much be the same as the last two exchanges.
Getting Started!
If you want to join the 2016 Winter Familiar Exchange, I will have registration open from Nov 12th 2016 (4 PM EST) to Nov 25 2016 (11:59 PM EST)!
As there are many people outside of the United States that may wish to participate, it would be great if you could swing the cash to be able to ship to them as well, but it is not required. Simply mark on the Survey if you can or cannot ship outside of the United States.
What’s the Familiar Exchange?
The Familiar Exchange is a service that @offalteeth started up and wanted to offer. There have been two exchanges already: winter of 2015 and Summer of 2016. Again, as they are busy, This is my first time organizing it personally.
RULES!
You MUST be at least 18 years of age and financially stable enough to be able to supply your own materials for the project and to ship it out to your partner ON TIME.
By entering this exchange, you promise to have your end of the exchange finished and sent out BY January 30th, 2017. You also agree to send me a copy of your packing or mailing slip to confirm that your package has indeed been sent out to your partner.
If you fail to send out a familiar, you will be banned from participating in future exchanges.
If you need to contact your recipient and their anon is off, you may message me and I will work as a relay.
There is no skill requirement or minimum level of monetary value to be spent on this, but please understand that you are making something special for another person and you must put your all into this exchange. I doubt that you would like to receive something that was put together at last minute with no time or consideration to the recipient. As such, if you cannot put the time, energy or passion into the project, please do not enter the exchange.
THAT BEING SAID, there’s nothing wrong with using the materials that you have available to you, such as hot glue if need be. As long as you put your heart into your project, your skill level is of no matter.
This is a 3D exchange and plush familiars are the base of it. If you want to include other gifts or items, all the better! You should understand how to sew or crotchet, though.
I, myself, will also be participating as I have the last two exchanges. I adore getting surprises and I love seeing what others have made with all of their heart. There’s nothing quite like it.
I, or a volunteer, will be picking up the slack if we have an odd number of participants. If you can volunteer to create a second Familiar, please message me or make note of so on your survey or in the emails that I will be sending out to participants. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Deadlines!
November 25th 11:59 PM EST Is the deadline to get in your application so that I can organize the matches via a RNG. They will be emailed my response by no later than 11 PM EST November 27th.
November 30th 11:59 PM EST is the deadline to respond to your assignment email, confirming that you received it. If I do not receive a confirmation, you will be eliminated from the pool and your recipient will be rematched.
January 30th is the deadline to have your doll shipped out and to have your packing or mailing slip copy sent via email to me.
