So do we actually know anything about DJ Conway or did they (he? I always thought DJ Conway was a he but I see other people refer to them as she so I'll go with "they" until I know for sure) just pop out of nowhere and start writing Wiccan-ish books of questionable research quality? Are they a pen name for a bunch of people? Who is this person???
If you do not yet own all three books by @breelandwalker yet, you should. 😉
Anyway, if you're interested in learning about Wicca from a modern perspective, I recommend Thorn Mooney's books Traditional Wicca and Witches Among Us.
Also, in case you weren't aware, D. J. Conway is so completely full of shit and a cultural appropriating bag of garbage.
Y'all ever read a "beginner witchcraft" book and just sit there for a few minutes like "...This could have been a blog post."
...Yeah.
Since I had a bunch of leftover Audible credits, I decided to acquire the audiobook of Thorn Mooney's The Witch's Path for a critical listen. I'm looking forward to it.
I must say, I'm surprisingly impressed, as I'm now into chapter 2 of Thorn Mooney's The Witch's Path.
From the surface, it would appear this woman and I have nothing in common. She's the high priestess of a Gardnerian Wiccan coven, and I'm, well, the fuck even am I. But it's appearing as if we have much common ground to work from. And I'm finding myself enjoying her book the more I listen.
