Your excessive reblogging of a certain w.i.t.c.h ship has me intrigued. This is the first time I'm hearing of this show, tell me about it! I feel like this is something I'd want to watch
Hello! From what I know this television show was based on Italian W.I.T.C.H. comics that were pretty popular in Europe when I was a kid. I haven't read the comics and only watched the show (a long time ago, thanks Jetix haha) but I heard there are huge differences between the original comics and the series.
So, back to the show. It's about five teenage girls that one day randomly become magic fairies and Guardians of the Veil between different worlds, especially the Earth, the planet called Meridian and another world called Kandrakar.
Each one of the girls gets a power of elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Quintessence). I think the creators even based some things on Chinese culture but I don't remember for sure.
So, these five girls try to manage fighting with the evil and saving the world at the same time with going to highschool and falling in love with boys. Classic, haha.
From what I remember, the show had a nice world building, interesting plot and reallyyyy good villains (and some of them were good looking). The second season was even better than the first one!! And I was always so pissed off that Winx show was more popular than W.I.T.C.H. because imo this show is a hidden gem. I always wondered why Netflix didn't just make a live adaptation..
(Also two songs written especially for this show are simply amazing and it's a shame they weren't released fully)
