A Rite of Dedication

This rite does not require any ingredients and may be performed as often as one likes in order to reaffirm one's dedication to the path. It involves repeating the Lord's Prayer backwards. Witch-lore tells us that it is sometimes necessary to shake off the shackles of the dominant religion in order to make progress in the craft.

Alone in a dark, candlelit room, repeat:

"Nema livee, morf su revilled tub

noishaytpmet ootni ton suh deel sus

tshaiga sapsert taht yeth

vigrawf eu za sesapsert rua

suh vigrawf derb ilaid rua yed sith

suh vig neveh ni si za thre ni nud

eeb liw eyth muck modngik eyth

main eyth eeb dwohlah nevah

ni tra chioo, retharf rua."

Place left hand under left foot and right hand over head.

"Old ones, all that is between my hands

is of thee and the ways

Io regina pigmeorum.

Io dominus umbrarum."

*For many witches and/or demonolors that find discomfort in a baptism into a faith as a baby or young child, this can be a healing rite. It's commonly seen as a rite you can partake in to initiate onto the path. Use it as you will, it was fitting to share!
