I mean, ymmv, but to me the most important part of a working is the phychodrama. The workings that I’ve been able to make look aesthetically pleasing are the ones that usually working, because my mind believes that it will. When I’ve got the right outfit, the right ambiance, I’m able to get into a powerful mindset and get shit done.

Maybe it’s the actor in me, but I’ve got to set up the circumstances to make me believe

This is my biggest fear. Not demons, not lizards, not the dark. Those are just things that distract me from what truly terrifies me. What I am scared of is the dark future. The environmental resources degrading rapidly, overpopulation, poverty, a slow and painful ongoing apocalypse.

I have this idea that witchcraft is all about universal balance. There’s “light” and “dark,” but none of them are actually bad/evil. There’s witches who practice many curses and those who don’t, and witches who cast for others and those who only cast for themselves, and whatever path you follow is completely up to you, because your path is helping keep this balance in the world and everything you should do just ends up pushing the state of the universe into a more stable condition.
