The aesthetic of my next novel
It’s a lighthearted fantasy about a coven of witches in a cottage in the woods. It also deals with revenge, autonomy, and blame. I’m still drafting and will post updates eventually

she has absolutely no idea how to be affectionate, & her top love languages are probably quality time & words of affirmation !!

extremely hot-headed but very good at hiding it. most things frustrate them, but especially when people are just like incredibly un-self aware if that makes sense

WTW SIDE CHARACTER WEEK - DAY 1: INTRODUCTION
Addison “Addy” Whittemore - Witch. Scryer. Water Affinity.
WTW EVENT SIDE CHARACTERS - DAY 4: POWERS
Scryers, those witches whose gift is sight. The past, present, and future, using an elemental medium they are able to see it all. While most scryers have a particular affinity for just one, Addy has a talent for all three making him quite the asset.
Addy channels their visions through a viewing pool, a shallow dish filled with clear water. Once the vision has been seen, he can freeze the liquid and save these discs of unmelting ice so as to analyze his vision at a later date.
Magical gifts tend to run through family bloodlines, Whittemores are almost always scryers. But Addy has the rare claim of being the only child in his generation in the family to have this gift.
WTW EVENT SIDE CHARACTER - DAY 3: HISTORY
Bernard and Stephanie Whittemore died in an accident when Addy was just fourteen. The worst part is that Addy relives it nearly nightly. They had nightmare after nightmare of the driver losing control on the slick winter street and careening off the road. The screech of metal on metal and the rattling last breaths of his parents haunts them to this day.
Less than a week later Addy arrived at Whittemore Manor, the estate his father grew up in, the same place Addy spent their summers. The only thing that seemed real was his cousins. Bennie and Birdie would sneak into his room to keep him company at night and hold him through his night terrors. They were his shadows for weeks as they grieved.
Over time though Addy noticed that Birdie became distant, spending less and less time with her twin and cousin and more time with their Auntie Regina. As it turned out she had come into her magic and received her gift. She was a siren, just like their aunt. Everyone expected Bennie to be the same but when her gift finally arrived, she was found to be a hound.
Addy saw the way Bennie was treated after that.
Addy saw the blood that stained their cousin’s hands.
Addy saw everything.
Addy said nothing.
Andreas: Look guys, I need help.
Addy: Love help?
Bridget: Financial help?
Momo: Emotional help?
Bennie: Help moving a body?
Everybody looks at Bennie
