I just finished an amazing trilogy (the Worldwalker Trilogy by the extremly talented Josephine Angelini) and have no idea what to do with my life now! I am both inspired to write and at the same time depressed because I will never create such a vivid world and unique magic system that will hold a candle to what she made) EVERY 👏 FANTASY 👏 LOVER 👏 MUST 👏 READ 👏 THIS 👏 TRILOGY 👏

Worldwalker Series by Josephine Angelini

Lily is back in her own universe, and she's ready to start a new life with Rowan by her side. True, she almost died in the Pyre that fueled their escape from New Salem, and must hide her magic for the safety of everyone she cares about, but compared to fighting the Woven, the monstrous creatures inhabiting the alternate Salem, life is looking pretty good.

Unfortunately, Lillian, ruthless ruler of the 13 Cities, is not willing to let Lily go that easily. If she can’t persuade Lily to return to her world, she will force her to come back by doing away with the ones she loves.

There is no recapping in this book. I haven’t read the first book in some time and I forgot a lot. Took a while but I remember some that happened in the first book.

I like how Lillian was showing Lily her past memories. Though it shows why she became tyrant but it doesn’t excuse everything she’s done in my eyes.

I like what Lily can do with magic, it’s is awesome. A very painful way I might add. 

I’m kinda surprised what went down for all of them (her new mechanics, Rowan, and herself) before they had to rush to world jump. Like OMG. 

Carrick is creepy AF and the stuff he did was horrible. I cringed whenever his short POV’s happened.

I declare I hate secret keeping! It’s so annoying!

Rowan taking something that didn’t belong to him. Like I gasped when that happened and what he allowed to be done to Lily. 

I liked them making their way west and what they came upon. 

Lily is starting to figure out something is different with the woven too. Wondering how that will go!

Lily Proctor has come a long way from the weak, sickly girl she used to be. She has gained power as a witch and a leader, found her way home, chosen to face battle again, and (after losing her first love and being betrayed by her new love) she has learned more about loss and grief than she ever wanted to know.

Thrust once again into a society different from anything they have ever seen, Lily and her coven are determined to find answers―to find a new path to victory, a way to defeat the monstrous Woven without resorting to nuclear weapons or becoming a tyrannical mass murderer like her alternate self, Lillian. But sometimes winning requires sacrifices . . . and when the only clear path to victory lies at Lillian's side, what price will Lily be willing to pay?

There seemed a disconnect for me with the minor characters. Normally I’m all about them but when some died, I felt nothing. I should have felt sad but I didn’t.

I like how Lily figured out what was really going on with the woven and with Grace.

Hate how Lily feels the need to hide things from everyone. It put an unnecessary strain in everyone’s relationships

Still think it’s weird how obsessed people from her world can get when they could be claimed. Like stalker obsessed.

Rising up against the true villain, Grace. I liked how Lily got enemies of all kinds working together for the epic battle.

I liked what Lillian decided in the end. Does that make up for what she did? No. But at least she finally did something good.

Wanted more when it came to the epilogue. I personally would have liked if it went a completely different way.

Overall, I did like the series. Lots of twists, cliffhangers, and magic.
