THE WITCHER (4.01)
I’ve gotta give serious props to the writing, directing, casting, and acting of the Leo Bonhart character in The Witcher S4 (note: I haven’t read the books or played all the games). The actor does such a good job of coming across on screen like a truly deplorable and utterly dangerous and deranged person. And after watching The Rats: A Witcher Tale (S4 companion film to watch after S4) I really need everybody to get their licks in when it comes time to put him down. It’s not enough just for Leo Bonhart to die, he needs to die being scared shitless and reduced to a helpless pathetic little excuse for man. I want Ciri to go Elder Blood on his ass. I want Yennefer to sink her fingers into his mind so easily because his mind is just that weak. I want Regis to go full tilt intimidation on him and confront him with the reality that there are beings out there that he simply cannot kill, but that can quite easily kill him. And even if a vampire could be killed, it would likely only be by a witcher— too bad he burned the bridges that might have saved his life, oh well. I want Geralt to go to town on Bonhart’s ass and show him a fight he cannot win. I want to see Ciri using magic and her witcher training to pummel him into the fucking ground. And I want a bunch of other Witchers to watch it all and take back the medallions that Bonhart stole.
But yeah, that’s why he’s such a good character and villain. Because he provokes this reaction in me.
I wanted to share my Mistle pic from our Witcher photoshoot!
