Tyrion is now being held in a cell waiting for trial. Everyone is off in their own world with Cerci being surprisingly distant.
You had to follow Tywin and a few soldiers to find Oberyn. Oberyn and Ellaria did not want to stay in the towering castle where the Lannister’s stayed and you didn’t blame them. The brothel where they spend a lot of their time at sounds better than the depressing castle full of what you deem as current and future dictators.
Tywin asked what room the prince was staying in. Walking to the room Tywin didn’t even bother knocking and pushed the door open to reveal Ellaria on one side of the bed with two girls fully naked along with Oberyn and another male right next to them.
The moment you laid eyes on them your face started to heat up and made your slow beating heart beat a little faster. They all looked over at Tywin and Oberyn speaking first.
“Lord Tywin,” he said sitting up.
“Prince Oberyn may I speak with you.” Tywin spoke in his monotone voice.
Everyone on the bed left except for the Prince.
They continued to talk about Joffrey’s death but you just tuned it out until Tywin started to accuse Oberyn by talking about his studies in poisons. Oberyn was quick to ask why he wasn’t in the dungeon and Tyrion came up as well. Oberyn started to talk about the death of his sister saying how Tywin was the only one who gave The Mountain orders.
You wanted to slice the smirk off Tywin’s face with your sword right then and there when he denied murdering the prince’s sister. Looking over at Oberyn you gave him an apologetic look wanting to comfort him even though you can’t.
Oberyn gave a small nod to you and looked over at Tywin again with a pissed off look and turned and walked to the bed.
It was weird feeling the connection you wanted with Oberyn and Ellaria. You wanted to protect and love them but most of your life you thought these feelings couldn’t exist because no one in their right mind wanted to be in a relationship with a Witcher. You were meant to be emotionless at least that was what you were told by many villagers who hated your kind and you believe it, Hell Geralt believed it considering how much he pushes people away and doesn’t really interact with them. Your whole purpose was to fight monsters that ravaged villages and you would one day meet your demise by trying to kill one. That was your fate and it was so embedded in your head that you knew no one would ever want to be with a monster that will eventually die at any given second.
All this clouded your brain and you were snapped out of it when Tywin whispered to you.
“Lady (Y/N) I am having you watch him and that bastard lover of his. Do not let him out of your sight.” He then proceeded out of the room with the soldiers trailing behind.
You stood there staring at Oberyn not knowing what to do. Ellaria then walked back in and over to Oberyn sitting next to him on the bed and kissing him on the cheek. She then looked over at you.
“Come sit,” she gave you a small smile.
You walked over and sat down a bit away from the two.
“Closer flower we do not bite.” Oberyn smirked looking over.
You had a blank expression and didn’t move but did want to ask something.
“Why seek revenge when it will not bring the ones you love back? I know why it is something you want but what if it results in you getting killed as well?” you questioned looking at him.
The prince seemed a bit shocked at first hearing those questions but then his expression became dark and a bit worrying.
“The Mountain murdered my niece and nephew and then raped and murdered my sister. Him and the Lannister’s deserve every bit of pain that comes to them.” His voice got lower as he spoke.
“(Y/N) is worried for you Oberyn that is all,” Ellaria tried to reason with him to calm him down.
“What I’m saying is you have people who will miss you if you get killed just like your sister and her children when they died. When I was a child my mother dropped me and my brother off on a dirt road in front of some stone castle that we would call home for years to come. She did not want children so she dumped us to become what we are now. I didn’t care about revenge on her even though I went through torture and pain to still be alive. I didn’t kill the villagers I swore to protect even though they wanted me dead and tried to kill me on multiple occasions! I’m known as a monster even though without me most would be dead! You have people who actually care about you and all you think about is killing an old man who will most likely die at some point soon and some psycho mountain man.” Seething at this point trying to get him to understand that it’s pointless.
Oberyn stood up and walked over to you, “I have trained for a long time to kill them both. They are my family and the only way the Mountain and Tywin will die is by my own hands,” he went over to his wine and just started drinking.
You looked over at Ellaria and her eyes were wide not ever seeing her lover act this way toward someone who was trying to help. She looked at you and scooted closer and whispered in your ear.
“If he is in trouble help him please I cannot lose him and I know neither can you,” A single tear fell down her face and she quickly wiped it away.
You looked her in the eyes and nodded. Even though you were angry with him you couldn’t bear seeing him get killed as well. You glanced at him to see him staring at both of you but he quickly looked away.
Why did it feel like your chest hurt? Guess your feelings are taking over seeing him not wanting to be near or look at you. This is why you have always stuck with Geralt because you didn’t think before saying things.
“I think we all might need some sleep. Come love and lay with me.” Ellaria spoke breaking the silence.
You stood up and walked to the window opposite of the room and sat on the window sill staring at the stone wall.
Oberyn layed with Ellaria holding her close not looking in your direction.
“Goodnight (Y/N).” Ellaria said as her eyes closed and she fell asleep along with Oberyn who didn’t bother speaking.
This was going to be a long night considering Witcher’s did not sleep and you had so many thoughts spinning in your head.
