Or would she die of overeating first? Tune in next time... No, she had to speak up. “Doesn’t that taste bad? I don’t think that was made for humans.” Coming up next was an odd fried combination of something.. Probably from another world, possibly inedible. Would the girl be okay?

He’d long since caught on that the beauty of the Star Trail was that its offerings shifted with each eclipse. Even wandering around here often couldn’t show him everything, whether it was ingredients or street dishes.
It was always more entertaining to rope someone else in to showing him the best of the recent arrivals, of course.

Grateful to find a food stall selling familiar foods, he bites into the meat piled high on rice and nearly chokes as he stops a girl with food in her own hands from walking any further forward. Another adult strides past, paying no attention to anything around them. The seating was only just a bunch of small tables and stools cramped together.
They surely would’ve collided if she stepped any further, and before he considers giving her an off-hand warning and going back to eating, he really looks at her.
She looked nothing like a local from around here. Swallowing his food and taking a sip of tea, he regards her with sympathy.
“I do not mean to interrupt your meal, but could I ask you a couple questions?”
The red eyes were especially concerning about her…
