witcheswhimsy replied to your post “I'm sorry to bother you about this, but why is everyone talking about...”
I just tried to explain the situation and why I think it's all quite funny to my non-witchy and very skeptical husband. Failed miserably.
Maybe that article with the memes might help.
I’m over it and think it’s funny at this point. laughter dispells bullshit for me.
I haven't posted many of my finished quilts so I gradually want to do so. This one was about playing with half square triangles. Since I was working with older fabrics, I noticed some holes or weak patches as I was hand-quilting. So darning became part of the creation process and now some of my favorite bits of this quilt.
All hand-sewn and handquilted.
ID: A red-blue- white and bright warm yellow colored quilt with various sizes blocks forming pinwheels and other triangel and square shapes. The last 2 images show closeups of darning in the quilt.
Almost there....
Finally the last in the series "Quilts I finished but forgot to take photos and haven't posted until now". My personal favorite one. I like the back just as much as the front. All hand-stitched (those curves would be hell with a machine). This one taught my humility when it comes to sewing curves. The blocks were all wonky. But I didn't cut them down. I just kinda matched them up accordingly and they sorted themselves out in the end. Truly a "trust the process" experience. Again handquilted. Titel "Wiggles & Niggles". Started ca. May 2023, Finished ca. September 2023.
Next in the series "Quilts I finished but forgot to take photos and haven't posted until now". Title "Hope is the color of….". Top all hand-stitched. Fabrics from stash. Fully handquilted. Started ca. February 2024. Finished ca. May 2024.
Throwback to a quilt I made from my grandkids' clothes. Now back with my grandkids. All handstitched and handquilted.
I think i haven't posted this top here yet....
