PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on German thrash\extreme metal band SODOM during their "Obsessed by Cruelty" line-up era, c. 1985. Band members were (very top pic -- L to R):

Bassist/vocalist/songwriter Tom Angelripper, guitarist Michael "Destructor" Wulf (1963-1993), & drummer Chris "Witchhunter" Dudek (1965-2008).

"...SODOM was just called a street band, a rehearsal band, non-musicians. We didn’t mind, actually. I don’t care what the press writes, but I do care about what the fans think. To us, that was the meaning behind thrash metal; to be free, to do what you want. We were good friends with KREATOR and the whole [German] scene, but we were never interested in what they were doing as a band."
