People called into Lomadia all the time, be it for tea and chat, healing or magical help, or just because they were in the neighbourhood. It had taken her a little longer than it probably should have to realise that Sips was calling around more often than others, but she was glad for it, so she didn’t mention it. She liked having someone to talk to - or more accurately, to listen to her rambling about owls or magic - and she reckoned that he enjoyed her company too, otherwise why would he keep coming back?
When he called for her attention, she had been about to laugh out an apology for talking to the owls because it could make her look a little strange, but she didn’t get a chance to speak before his lips were against hers. It was only then that it clicked into place why he might have been calling around so much, and why she was so happy for him to be around too. When he pulled back, there was a rare moment where Lomadia was speechless, her cheeks slowly heating up in the silence. The quiet did only last a moment though, her thoughts finally kicking back in, a smile instantly gracing her face. “Well, that’s one way to get me to stop talking to the owls.”
He was just about to apologise right before Lomadia smiled and Sips exhaled a breathy laugh of relief. They’d been getting on so well lately that he was almost afraid that he might’ve just ruined whatever it was going on between them, so it definitely felt like he dodged a bullet there. “Nah, I don’t mind you talking to the owls. Just felt a little left out is all.” That wasn’t necessarily true; it’d all happened purely on impulse and without much thought, although that was typically how things usually went with Sips anyway. Thinking about the consequences of his actions just wasn’t his style and luckily things tended to work out in his favour, so that was all that really mattered to him.
“Just one more and you can go back to your conversation. I’d hate to be rude.” Snickering, he’d at least given Lomadia a little more warning than the last time before he was going back for another kiss. It was pretty soft and chaste, much like the first, although he was a little more hesitant to pull back this time since he could undoubtedly go for having more of these in his life. When he did lean away though, he pecked the witch’s forehead lightly before he rested back against the couch and reached over to scratch the owl’s head with his index finger. “She’s all yours, little guy. Sorry for interrupting,” he mused, grinning at Lomadia as he spoke.
