How I feel about this character:

I like that guy! I like Kanou!! Out of everyone in EHRI/Path to Empireo, he's purely there because he's invested in the research. I love the contrast between Kanou Flag and No Kanou Flag!! I think it's so compelling that in order to understand him, you have to push and seek for information. You have to make that choice, and Kanou recognizes that effort. Liars understanding Liars, Kanou understanding 'Asou-chan' and 'Asou-chan' understanding Kanou. It makes me so crazy <3 He leaves such an impact.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

I talked about this on my response about Atou already but I like him and Atou a lot!!

Shinano. It's funny! it's funny to me! Shinano is going to bite him <3 This is kismesissitude coded to me. I think about that one scene in chapter 5 where Kanou flirts with Atou and Shinano just stares at him, dead quiet, and I kick my feet and giggle about a jealous puppy. This is more in the context of shinano-atou-kanou but it's fun!!!

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Jabuchi, i guess? I like their conversation in record 1... I would put Atou here again but i cannot read that as platonic enough to say it's 'non-romantic'.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I'm not sure I have one, honestly? I guess my 'unpopular opinion' is I'm not sure where the "Seodore Stole Kanou's Factor (Gabriel)" theory comes from... The only evidence I've seen is the Brugmansia (angels trumpet) vs Datura (Devils trumpet) thing, but i've seen it around a LOT and I don't understand... Is there something i missed...

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

Honestly, I don't think I would change anything? I like the canon story as-is. It handles him well, and I think he's compelling enough despite his limited screentime.
