On the contrary, he has much to be worried about. After returning from his exodus to the mountains, Silas, while finding Vale slowly healing, refuses to leave his former professor to carry the burden on her shoulders alone. 

“Professor Goodwitch, please...we haven’t really been on the best of terms previously, but listen to me when I say the kingdom itself, let alone Beacon, was not built in one day. Because you’re the best and only shot to fix Vale, you need to rest.” He clears his throat. 

“Don’t you remember lecturing about pacing during the sparring classes? You’re not an exception to that lesson.”

Ozpin wore more layers in Vale than most people would, so it should come as no surprise that he was wearing two sweaters under his jacket, and warmer pants than his usual choice, as well as gloves. The cold of Atlas was terrible for his joints. “I was trying to be cordial, but since you’ve already expressed your distaste... This weather is dreadful,” he allowed himself to say, pulling his scarf up to cover his mouth, as he motioned towards the door. “You first.”

She's just going to casually sit on his lap, sitting in a way her legs were draped over his chair, heels slightly dangling off her feet. "You know," She began, idly using a finger to twirl a lock of silver hair, leaning in to /almost/ kiss him, instead her lips going to his ear, "You could consider it an early night, /sir/. Early to bed, early to rise and all that." She is /absolutely/ being a tease.

To his credit, the Headmaster was undeterred from the letter he was busy writing. Though of course his mind was cleaved in two the instant her weight settled in his lap. She was being awfully candid this evening.

She was coercing all of his weaknesses as well; playing with his hair, that knowing ‘Sir’. Besides the obvious advantage of sitting across him and brushing feather-light kisses at his ear. It would be remiss of his better nature not to play along. 

“I certainly could, Professor, or I could complete this highly time sensitive correspondence with the internal security contractor.” Though, to that end Ozpin really only needed one hand at the keyboard. The other seemed to be slowly venturing up her back. Beneath her cape, over crisp, clean white cotton before his arm curled around her.

A sigh, as he looked at the date on his scroll. The fact that he even had to check was indication enough that he shouldn’t stay awake another hour, quite honestly. “Saturday.” It’s Tuesday.

“Glynda, there is no need to escalate things.” The council wants him out, so be it. He doesn’t need to be sitting on that chair to do what needs to be done - not when she is right there to continue his work. If anything, she might do a better job as Headmistress. “You need not fight the council, they have our people’s best interest at heart.”

“Hmm. I suppose they wouldn’t.” He was not quite sure his influence on them had been a mostly positive one. Secrets aside, bending the rules for them might have kept them from learning important lessons. “I’d argue all of the teaching staff played a part in their development, though.”

Silas looks over with curiosity in his eyes. Well, less curiosity, more along the lines of disbelief. 

“Professor Goodwitch, I don’t think anyone is truly ready for whatever they’re supposed to do...If people were ready, all of the Grimm in the world would be eliminated in a fortnight and we would achieve world peace with just in time for dinner.” His hands rest along the front of his pants. 

“However, that’s just a student’s opinion. An older student’s opinion, that is.”

“I know that,” she huffed. Winter Schnee would not admit to sulking. “That doesn’t mean that I don’t wish that you just happened to have an easy solution to this problem, however.”
