I can’t.
Grand Cleric Talis is the best healer ever
For the low, low price of 50 MP, he’ll create you an MP potion that heals 60% of an ally’s MP!
Things I just discovered on Witchtooth:
Lin can wear Arkouda's claw
The Serpheants can drop a Lute of the Sea
You can offer wisp souls to the cave with the spikes; just make sure to flip the switch before you face the Witch Elder (I still don’t know what its purpose is but I’m hoping it’s some more secret loot IT IS SECRET LOOT)
I could write an essay on why Talis is the best healer I’ve ever played with.
Starting with: his skill that gives you one medium mana potion every time you use it in battle.
Chester Rhodes really, really reminds me of Lars. Rich boy with a prejudice and an affinity for magic. Except Chester is just the right amount of annoying and overconfident. Also he’s like 9 or 10. And is very much an elemental mage who wears blue and prefers fire.
Witchtooth was good. If only I knew how to finish the two other sidequests. :'(
Review
I totes ship Rolan and Lin both platonically and romantically. The ending was a bit abrupt because I leveled up too fast I guess, oops but it was nice enough.
The equips and their upgrades don’t necessarily add to the characters’ skills. The game allows you to explore and choose which stats you want to bank on more. The optional bosses and hidden bosses are also amazing. Most boss fights, and some ordinary encounters, give you amazing equipment drops.
Random Stats
My playtime was at 20 hours. My save file says it’s 19, but I had to redo one hour of gameplay due to a glitch. Sobs.
My winning build/strategy was the following:
Rolan focuses on attacks and strength buff. His strength is SO JACKED; I just imagine him getting strong enough to carry so much gold.
Lin nerfs (usually nerfs enemy defense) and attacks enemies; also provides support. Her stats are the most balanced out of everybody but she has the best agility, which made her the best support in my build as she always takes her turn first.
Chester only ever uses skills/magic; SOMETIMES provides support. His spirit is TOTES jacked but his agility had to compromise.
Talis buffs Chester's SPI, heals, and uses his holy power as offensive. His defense and spirit are his highest stats.
If half the party goes down, the others must revive them first before focusing on the enemy.
My favorite part is the Taiisa Forest (thank you for helping me level grind for the rest of the game).
I’ve done every sideboss I’ve discovered. (Not sure if the mountainside cave or the mines are accessible...)
I’ve opened every torch-activated door that I know of.
I’ve done all sidequests I know of, except two: the fortune teller’s key and the pioneer’s hat.
Conclusion
I will totally replay this game because it’s amazing. And also to find more clues about how to solve the 2 sidequests I didn’t get to finish. Probably also to explore more strats/builds.
The dev of Witchtooth placed so many sidequests, hidden items, and bosses AND I'M SO GLAD I'M CATCHING ONTO MOST OF THE SECRETS I LOVE THIS GAME (The backtracking though needs a bit of work and the NPCs sometimes will only say their requests/sidequests info ONCE, but the fun part is trying to solve the mystery!)
Reasons why Witchtooth is such a great game: - Your healer can create weak MP potions using his mana :^)
