I've never been required to take a drug test (let alone a regular drug test) from an out-patient psychiatrist - and I've had a fair number of shrinks from different practices. (And many I started seeing while one or more of my parents was actively using.) Your current doctor's practice is being ridiculous.

I’m kind of relieved to hear that. I mean the very first appointment before I had even met with this Dr. they made me go pee in a cup which I thought was very offputting and not a good way to build rapport.

Re: DA ageism, I was rly pissed tht they radically changed Leliana's appearance just 2 avoid giving her wrinkles to reflect her age but Cullen & Alistair & other male characters get to have wrinkles. I shouldn't be surprised but it still makes me mad

I get the afab not masc thing. I identify much more with femininity bc it's deeply shaped my experiences. I feel like 1% of me IDs as woman in a v distant vague sense & it's complicated to sort out esp when most ppl won't recognize your gender

Yeah I had a strong sense of “gender as team loyalty” when I operated under the assumption that I was cis and even though I now know that’s basically all that gender really is I don’t feel that’s enough for me to call myself cis especially when I’ve had trans feelings (body & social dysphoria that I couldn’t recognize) since I was five but I can’t discount the team loyalty thing and up until now I felt I had to choose between one or the other or else I was appropriating from trans women??
