2 weeks with a newborn

It amazes me that two whole weeks have gone by with my precious baby girl. The sleep deprivation is only minor because, luckily, I woke up every three hours to pee while I was pregnant so I'm pretty used to the routine. I've decided to breastfeed my little star and it is going very well. My milk came in around day four and has been wonderful. She seems to be feeding alot more recently so I think she's going to go through a growth spurt. New motherhood is a wonderful journey and I am so in love.

2 months with a new baby

Time has flown by. My how my little star has grown and in turn, so have I. Motherhood has been a whirlwind of emotions and new experiences. She makes me laugh and cry (when I think about her growing up) and she makes me fall in love all over again every morning I get to wake up to her now smiling face. She smiles at me and her Daddy every day and it warms my heart. She's finally in 0-3 clothes and size 1 diapers. My itty bitty baby Is slowly getting big and I get choked up thinking about it. She has graduated from the bassinet to her crib and sleeps longer stretches thought the night, though her 4 am feeding turns into play time no matter how tired mommy is. She has been fully breastfed up until now but she has begun taking formula like a champ since I have to find work soon. It makes me sad though to not have as much time left just me and her.

Honestly nothing could have prepared me for the intense flood of love I felt for this baby the first time I saw her. The first time she cried, I felt such an overwhelming amount of love that I burs into tears. It physically hurt to love her as much as I do and it continues to grow every day. This baby is everything I've ever wanted and she has me and her Daddy wrapped around her finger. I've never been happier. I want the world for my little star and she will have it.
