Well looks like they are angling to cut my entire department at work lol. Thanks to the C suite for offering NO support to my sales team for years on end, so that sales were super slow this year, and it reflected badly on all of us. And thanks for turning into a company of shit corporate culture where instead of productivity or intelligence, you are measured by how well you play the "is your Teams icon green" game 🙄
I'm upset and I kinda wanna cry bc these days you have to apply to 500+ jobs to find one and I am SO LAZY 😭. But you know what. I'm not devastated. I'll probably feel worse if or when the "YOU'RE FIRED!" conversation happens lol but! I've had this cushy WFH job for nearly 6 years. If it's over, it was a good run. And I had been thinking I could probably make more elsewhere, maybe I should look. But I was always too lazy.
And it seriously could be worse. They could've fired me w/o warning. Like these huge companies who fire people via email over Thanksgiving break 💀. I could be living paycheck to paycheck but I'm not. I could also be really fucked w/ losing medical coverage but my autoimmune problem seems under control, and if I have to pay out of pocket for the birth control I use to manage it, it's only $30 for a 90 day supply. And I have been mad about a number of things at this place for some time now. Not mad enough to leave bc cushy job, but you know. Maybe it was time.
