What are your thoughts on Ruki and Yui as a couple? I sometimes feel like people sleep on them a little even though they are imo one of the best developed, interesting, as well as compatible (aesthetically and otherwise) couples in the dl verse.
I adore Yui. She is such a sweetheart and a kind soul. And I can see why people love her so much. And Rejet clearly made a well-thought-out decision when they chose a person like her to be the MC for the story.
Still, when it comes to shipping Yui with the Diaboys, I literally don’t care.
For me, she can be with any of them or neither of them. It’s interesting to see how her story with each boy develops in different routes but many times I can’t really feel the romance. And that goes for Ruki and Yui as well.
While Ruki’s Dark Fate route gave me some good romance vibes, his Lost Eden route was bland in that regard. Perhaps it felt different for you, but I couldn’t feel the romance there. I enjoyed the route nevertheless, but mostly plotwise and because of the things we learned about Ruki, Karlheinz, and the Demon World. So, I didn’t see that great relationship development there. But of course, each player can interpret things as they wish, so maybe you saw something I did not.
Aside from canon, I could find it interesting if Yui was shipped with an OC. That could offer us something new and give her a chance to grow in a different way than with the Diaboys.
So, I’m not passionately shipping Yui with anyone nor interested in analyzing her relationship with any of the boys.
