SUMMARY | Yuma chases after a severely anaemic Yui, but before long, the vampire has her completely at his mercy once again.

“Why’re ya runnin’, huh?”
Yui's shoulders twitch when she hears my angry shout as she runs away from me.
I creep closer and closer, but she keeps backing away, telling me she has no blood left to give… until her back hits the wall. That’s when she finally realises she’s hit a dead end.
“So this is where ya runnin’ to? Not that smart, huh?” I sneer.
The girl’s face pales instantly. She looks up at me with pleading eyes.
It is quite a cute look on her, actually, and for a moment I consider stopping the teasing for today, but… I realise her legs are moving, albeit slowly, and any kindness I was feeling immediately vanishes.
“Hey…Ya ain’t goin’ nowhere!”
With a loud bang, I kick my leg against the wall between Yui’s thighs. The movement catches her off-guard, and she freezes in place.
I lean in and whisper in her ear. “Now, ya won’t be runnin’ anymore, will ya…?”
This time, she thrashes wildly as though she knows full well there is nowhere left to run now, so I grab her jaw with a hand and force her up against the wall. Tears of pain form in her eyes when she glares up at me.
—When will you realise it only turns me on when you look at me like that?
I tilt her chin upwards and kiss her, forcefully.
Yui resists at first, but her body soon goes slack, and I have to support her waist to keep her from sinking to the ground.
That should do it, I think, and pull away from her lips.
She immediately falls against my chest, breathing heavily and trying her best to stand upright. I grab her by the nape of her neck and yank her back toward me.
“Ya ain’t dead yet, so… Still some blood left to give, right?”
Yui looks up at me with a start. Tears stream down her face now, body trembling. She looks like a trapped animal.
“Heh… Let’s have some fun, shall we?”
Before she can talk back to me, I silence her with another kiss.

After splitting up with Yuma, I had returned to my room with Yui in tow. The two of us are sitting on my bed now, my little masochistic kitten completely exhausted, and I gently stroke her head.
“I’m sorry. I might’ve gotten a bit carried away…” I look at Yui with upturned eyes as I apologise, and even though we did such horrible things to her earlier, she is easily charmed.
—Almost as if she’s saying, “It’s done and over with, so don’t worry.” Oh, how kind she is…
I chuckle at the sight of her like this. Then, I pin down her wrists with one hand. Yui looks at me in surprise, and soon, I am close enough to kiss her…
“You really are an idiot, aren’t you…? Some sweet words are all it takes to influence you, huh?” I say, putting some force behind the words.
At this sudden change in demeanour, Yui completely loses her composure. We all know how quick-witted she is, so to keep her from coming to her senses, I put more strength into my hand and keep talking.
“Hey, does it hurt? Do you want me to stop? If you do, then promise me you’ll never ever let anyone other than me suck your blood again. Then, I’ll stop.”
My voice is not unkind, but she does not answer aside from a pained moan.
—Ah, now I’m offended.
“Now, listen… Who the hell do you think you are? Didn’t your teachers ever tell you to answer when someone asks a question, huh?” I take out my frustration on her now, my grip on her wrists growing tighter and tighter.
Unable to endure it any longer, Yui immediately promises her loyalty, her voice hoarse as she does so.
“That’s it. Good girl. If you keep doing as I say, just like that, I will be so sweet to you, you know?” I let go of her wrists, and gently stroke her head again.
This foolish, foolish girl simply nods assiduously at my words, almost as though she’s tired of living in fear…
—I love you, my obedient, masochistic little kitten.

Suddenly, she takes out a tube of hand cream. However, her hands are so numb due to the cold that she struggles to take off the cap.
“Give it to me. I’ll put the cream on you.”
I semi-forcibly take the tube from her hands and screw off the cap. Then, I embrace her from behind and rub the cream onto her hands. The smell of roses fills my nose.
Drawn in by all the scents that emanate from her, I lean in and sink my teeth into the crook of her neck.

I myself haven't had the chance to actually play any routes besides reading through translations + watching gameplay on yt
is there a specific setting that causes like the vamps eyes + mouths to move w dialogue or was that just introduced in later games after hdb and mb?
Good question, Anon!
I haven't played the original PSP versions, so I don't actually know how things are in those. But still, I don't think there is a special setting to make their eyes and mouths move. It's probably just that older games didn't have that, and they added it in later games (maybe they had a bigger budget then?).
Unfortunately, I didn't take any videos while playing HDB on Switch, and I can't recall if their mouths moved there. But I do have some videos from MB's Switch version, and there the mouth movement is already added. And I didn't need to put on any settings for that. So, perhaps it wasn't in the first game but was brought in the second one?
But if someone else has further knowledge about that, feel free to reblog this and tell us when this feature was added in the games. 🖤
why did azusa keep getting his arm amputated in routes? I read smthg abt it years ago but memory is very fuzzy ☺️

To be honest, it has been quite a while since I played Azusa's More, Blood route, and I still haven't played his routes in Dark Fate and Lost Eden. So, I don't know every detail, and some parts of my memory are also already fuzzy, too.
Anyway... In his More, Blood route, Seiji (Yui's father) shoots Azusa with a silver bullet. In Maniac 08, Yui is visiting the church, and Seiji arrives there, realizing his daughter has turned "filthy" because of her associations with the Vampires. He tries to shoot Yui, but Azusa saves her. When Seiji aims again, this time, he hits Azusa's arm.
Unfortunately, it's the arm with Azusa's precious scars that represent his friends Justin, Christina, and Melissa to him. For that, he wants to keep the arm as it is, even though it's slowly getting worse and worse. In Ecstasy Prologue, Ruki tells Yui that she must talk to Azusa because he is going to die if they don't get rid of his arm.
So by the end of the route, Azusa's arm will be amputated to save his life.
Because it has indeed been a while since I played MB, I also consulted @ruki-mukami-dl's Admin about the matter. We talked quite a lot about Azusa's tale, and she revealed to me that Azusa is using a prosthesis in the later routes.

In front of Yui’s bedroom door stood a single shadow—Mukami Ruki turned the doorknob and proceeded inside without hesitation. There, he found Azusa, who had been sitting at the girl's bedside for a while, and closed the distance between them.
“That’s enough. Go back to your room. Now.” Ruki was oddly unaware of the venom with which he spat the words. It was pure obsession that unconsciously drove these feelings of jealousy towards Azusa… although even if Ruki had been aware of this fact, he would be loath to admit it.
“But Eve… she still hasn’t woken up…” Azusa said as he continued to try and shake Yui awake. She was still fast asleep, and her breathing was so quiet it almost seemed as though she were not even breathing at all. It was incredibly faint. You had to strain your ears to hear it. “Maybe I… really did take too much of her blood…? Oh no… what if she doesn’t wake up…?” Azusa turned back to the unresponsive body beside him, frowning and mumbling to himself.
“...Do you genuinely think I would let that happen?” Ruki said, letting out an exasperated sigh.
“I don’t, but…”
Azusa trailed off while Ruki stood over him as if to pin him down with his words. “Leave her be… Most of this is your doing, after all. You drank too much from her without any proper thought.”
“But… Eve’s blood is… so delicious that…” Before Azusa could finish his sentence with it leaves me wanting more, he raised Yui’s hand to his face ever so gently as though handling something fragile, and promptly trailed his tongue along her unresponsive fingers.
“Ah…!” Almost instantaneously, a crease had formed between Ruki’s brows and he shot his brother a sharp glare.
This response did not go unnoticed by Azusa. “Hehe… is that envy I see…?” In contrast to Azusa’s sluggish way of speaking, he was absurdly attuned to the subtleties of people’s emotions.
In an effort to brush off Azusa’s knowing smile, Ruki’s voice dripped with disdain. “I don’t like it.” In truth, it deeply disturbed Ruki for his little brother to see through him like this. “Very well—if you insist on staying here, I will simply take Livestock back to my room.”
Ruki reached for Yui with an instinctual ease—however, he was immediately met with resistance from Azusa.
“I won’t hand her over… I will be the one to accompany her until she wakes up…” Azusa strained audibly as he gripped Ruki’s arm with great strength. It only demonstrated his stubborn refusal to give up Yui even more.
Ruki shook off his brother’s firm grip and stated, “Livestock is not yours.”
“Well… she isn’t yours either, Ruki…”
An oppressive atmosphere blanketed the room. Only the shrill echo of the ticking clock interrupted the silence.
Ruki was, surprisingly, the first to break the silence. “...What’s wrong with us, being at the mercy of such an ordinary girl?”
“Well… it’s because she’s Eve…” Azusa’s words did not provide much of an explanation, but while Ruki could not think of a better answer to his question either, he did not deny it.
“...I see. If that’s the case, I will just have to discipline Eve until she’s mine.”
“No… she’s mine… my Eve…”
—Just then, the eyelids of the unconscious girl beside them twitched. Both brothers’ eyes fixated on Yui at once.
“How cruel to make me wait. I will teach you who you belong to… with my fangs.”
“Hehe… I won’t lose, so… I will hurt you like you’ve never hurt before… you’ll be in ecstasy…”
All that greeted the girl when she opened her eyes from a long sleep was the sight of the two vampires standing over her, leering.

One night around dinnertime, the Mukami brothers had, oddly enough, not all congregated around the dinner table.
“Hm? Have Azusa and Yuma gone out?”
“Yeah, so we’re going out for dinner tonight. Livestock—you too.”
“Oh, alright…!”
Even though I thought this was pretty rare for Ruki, who is usually someone who tells us we should not indulge in luxuries, Kou pulled me along by the arm with great delight, and so the three of us found ourselves in a family restaurant downtown. I wondered whether this was the first time the Mukami family ever went out for dinner.
“Um…”
“What is it, Livestock?”
“What’s with you today?” I ventured after we were done ordering.
Ruki opened his mouth to speak. “There isn’t much to it. If anything, I just thought it would be cheaper to go out for dinner, considering it would be relatively expensive to buy ingredients to make dinner for just three people.”
“Ah… That sounds like something you would do, Ruki,” Kou said, greedily gulping down his melon soda from the unlimited soda bar.
Truthfully, I also thought it was not unlike Ruki, but… I, a human, was now at a family restaurant with two vampires. No matter how I framed it in my mind, this situation did not make sense and only made me feel incredibly uneasy.
Just as I was thinking this, our orders arrived and we started eating. I had a cheeseburger, Kou had vongole bianco as per usual, and Ruki had the chef’s special: a cold-served pasta.
“Hm? Ruki, what’s wrong?”
“No, it’s…”
We were halfway through dinner when Kou suddenly called out to Ruki. When I looked up to see what was going on, I saw that Ruki had not eaten much.
“Are you feeling unwell, Ruki?” I knew that sort of thing generally did not apply to vampires, but still, I asked.
“No, that’s not it…”
“Ah, I get it now!” Kou clapped his hands together as if in revelation and stood up to swap Ruki’s plate with his own.
“What are you doing?”
“Hm? Nothing in particular,” Kou replied as he happily dug into the cold-served pasta Ruki had ordered, even though vongole bianco was his all-time favourite dish—what on Earth was he doing? I thought it was strange, but Kou just raised the pasta to his mouth and said, “You don’t like strong flavours, do you, Ruki? That’s why I swapped our plates.”
“Sorry. I thought it would not be so bad because the picture on the menu made it look lightly-seasoned, and it’s a cold dish, but…”
“It’s alright. I’m not very picky, anyway,” Kou said, and the two vampires began to move their forks again.
Understanding someone’s feelings with only a few words may be one of Kou’s talents, but still, the exchange felt natural, and I had a hunch Kou was not just showing off his talents this time either. I realised I was a little jealous of him as I also picked up my chopsticks again.
“It was almost like Kou was the big brother just now,” I said, moving my chopsticks. Kou smiled widely as if to say, right? while Ruki scowled in my direction.
