They felt the phone buzz in their pocket, wanting to answer. It lasted about 5 seconds before they looked at the screen. Paiges…. They sighed before opening it.

Once they read the message, twice over, a small confused face came over them. Before the numbness seeped back in. Right. Paiges was just being polite. Nothing bigger than that.

“ ash. ” the voice comes with all the enthusiasm of. . . nothing! but it's restrained. the enthusiasm is there. from behind-- there is that shy third year from . . . a while ago. he carries something in a mesh bag. “ hi. you like. . . bracelets, right? ”

if no one knew better, you could think that Paiges is related to idia somehow concerning the sheer amount of social awkwardness covering up genuine interests. . .

anyhow-- he offers the bag stiffly. his ear twitches as if he's waiting for them to take it so he can bolt.

Aah turns around to face Paiges, having been lost in thought and quite literally….. staring at the wall. They rarely had homework to do, or studied. Despite this they still got pretty good grades. After Paiges was done speaking, Ash looked down at the bag, a smile forming on their face.

Yeah I do, I love bracelets. Do you…. Want me to take the bag? Also your hair looks pretty today, I could never get mine to look that good…. Frizz and a bunch of other stuff.

Oh, hi Pagies! Yeah I like sweets, but nothing too sweet.

Tiramisu is my favorite, but overall I like pastries filled with cream. Hard candies and gummies too.
