The line for popcorn has finally died down, most seats of the first film of the night stuffed with excited townies. Easy's happy all they have to do is scoop; the lack of other concessions makes it easy to clean and quick to get through the crowd. Now that it's quiet, he can focus on the movie.

Or on his co-worker. Whichever catches his interest quickest.

This Is Spinal Tap is a favorite of Easy's; beyond changing the film industry and doing the first real digs at the mockumentary genre, it's funny as hell, and impressive in the way its produced. The faint glow of the popcorn and concession stand don't distract him from the screen, an entertained smile starting to play at his lips, but it's not long until he's scooting over to Mila who stands in a matching blue vest near the register.

"Knowing these actors really played on the soundtrack makes it so much more impressive." Easy nods to the screen, his voice low as he leans in towards Mila; he won't be stopped from whispering while he's back here working, but he'll never ruin the movie-watching experience for the fans in the seats. He drags his eyes from the screen, looking down at the soft features of Mila beside him. "You've seen this right? Have to have."

Merritt is being punished. Unfairly, might she add, as so often is the case when it comes to doing chores around the house. Though not being forced to make dinner tonight, she has been put in charge of procuring the ingredients, which is almost just as bad if not worse. Like, deciding what's for dinner? Easy. She's a pro at making choices, at deciding what she wants. But actually going to the store to get it after already changing out of her work uniform and prescribing herself a healthy dose of Laying On The Couch And Playfully Arguing With Shane? Getting back into her car is like dragging her body through a desert full of knives. Getting out and walking to the automatic doors of Campbell's is even worse.

And she's literally not even being dramatic about it.

Merritt's decided on taco bake which has become particularly beloved in the Stone house since Shane moved in. All the ingredients are already in the basket, and with her task done, she's free to drag herself to the car, but her body reroutes towards the frozen section because she knew before she even walked in that she'd be going home with a pint of ice cream for her efforts.

And she isn't the only one with that idea. There, in front of the closed doors, is Mila. Merritt, who hasn't seen her ex-sister-in-law since before the news dropped, beelines over with little thought given to if that had been on purpose.

"Let me guess," Merritt starts, parking herself right next to Mila. She scans the selection with her. "Chocolate chip cookie dough?"

"You're not supposed to be in here."

Not accusatory. Not exactly flirty, either. A little tired, maybe, though it's paired with a smile. Easy lets the door to the hallway swing close and rounds the bar, coming to sit next to Mila.

"I won't tell anyone, though. Don't really feel like being down there either." As Easy leans his elbow on the bar - props his head on his hand with all that sleepy attention directed to her - he considers the situation. The music bleeds through the floor from the basement, pulsing and pumping in a beat much more upbeat than Easy - or Mila, it seems - feels right now.

"I know I'm asking a stupid question here, but... Are you okay? Or like... will you be?"

At Mila's Place

Iza sat in the back of her car, her driver bringing her to one of her dearest friend's houses for a catch up. Things had been intense for Mila since the divorce with Kosta. Her heart ached for both people. She knew that however their marriage had started, they had both ended up having feelings for one another and to see it end...was almost unthinkable.

She refused to draw parallels to herself and Mikhail. It didn't matter to her how dangerous things were, there would never be a parting whether it be willingly or out of necessity. Especially not after having their son. They were a family, and they would get through whatever came at them together, just as they always had. Maybe that's why her heart hurt so much for Mila. The situation would be unthinkable.

"You may stop here. Thank you, sweetie," she said, familiar with the driver. "I'll let you know if I need to be picked up, but I have a feeling I'll be here all night." She got out and shut the door, clasping a bottle of really expensive Tequila.

She knocked on the door and when the door opened, she offered a smile and the bottle. "Okay, sis. I brought booze and I brought my delightful self," she teased, moving forward to hug the other woman.

Not to mention mine and Mila's conversation is just getting beyond ridiculous.
