i barely ever actually look at the monkees tags and go figure the first time i do in ages there's rpf drama lol
#i never saw peter's opinion on it because tbh i'm not thrilled with his other behavior at cons and avoid a lot with him#but micky reportedly to some extent (legally) defended it#mike actively asked at least one friend/fan specifically about the smut#and davy reportedly just brushed it off with pm saying he could do better than them lol#and the monkees worked with at least one dolenzmith shipper#i wouldn't be surprised if peter did get annoyed with it whether the shipping itself or just because it's a dick move to go bugging celebs#with ships#but why is this a 'see it's clear you shouldn't ship' thing instead of a 'there's obviously shades of gray' thing when clearly at least 3/4#of them didn't care as much#vague posting and i won't stick this in the tags but come onnnnnn#man i could make a massive monkees are fine with rpf post lol
