the rules put in place by clerk carmine and tam amber were that lenore dove couldn't VENTURE ALONE into the woods, so there she was with her cousin. she'd known they meant she couldn't go without them, but this was a loophole that she'd gotten around. it was their faults for not specifying it, and she'd tell them that, too. feeling the other link arms with her brought a smile to lenore dove's face. ❛ if my uncles ask, we spent the day in town, and the reason they didn't happen to see us was because we were walking around all over the place. ❜ she knew the excuse was A WEAK ONE, but for now, that was the best she'd come up with. maybe they'd think of something better while they swam in the lake. that was their destination, the lake that was a few hours of a hike through the woods.
