Further explanation for my theory!
First, explaining this list!:
Moon is the main target of Wither Sun’s wrath due to the obvious(mentally, physically, and emotionally abusing Sun).
Eclipse is second due to the awful past him and Sun share.
Cosmos mainly due to how he first acted towards Sun, back when he was still Lunar.
Solar because Sun must have been PISSED at him for leaving Jack like that back with the Overseer stuff.
Moon Haven experimented on them and they are Moon’s(at least some of them are better than Moon, Carmines probably excluded from them at least).
With the Tyrant stuff the Sun Sanctuary is probably going to be an awful place let’s be honest.
Monty with how he mainly acted in the past.
Jack, not high on the list but the first couple of times they talked weren’t awesome(the cats).
Terra was the one who helped him a lot when she first showed up and made a sibling pact with him to not hurt each other.
Dazzle and TJ due to TJ not having been around long enough and Dazzle having only bad moments where Sun is sad due to killing her on July 16th.
Second, let’s look back at Nexus, a whiny brat who blamed others though people reached out to him. Turned into a wither and only wanted revenge because he pitied himself. Now let’s look at Sun, someone who has been thoroughly abused for no reason by people(MOON) who he thought loved him, helped keep his family together and was rarely reached out to. We see how strong Nexus was while he was just an ignorant and angry, so just think of how powerful Sun would be, fueled by pure rightful rage and sorrow plus the fact he had magic before becoming a wither.
How would the family, havens, and stellar squad react?
The family of learning of the surviving chip that gave Wither Sun his memories would try to help him. Moon would be pitying himself and probably scared. Eclipse would be terrified especially with his own family he has to protect. Cosmos and Solar would be distraught seeing as Sun comforted them in hard times. Terra would be upset, the one sibling who she still trusted heavily taken over by this monster. Monty would be regretful as he probably knew how bad Sun’s mental state had been before becoming a wither. The children would be terrified and sad, Dazzle losing her father, Jack and TJ losing an amazing uncle and parental figure to go to if their dads are being icky.
Moon Haven would be more likely to help, since Sun is a threat and part of the Stellar Squad(they probably like him more than they like Moon let’s be honest). Sun Sanctuary would still be repairing itself from Tyrant and probably terrified of Wither Sun.
Dahlia would have lost his student, someone with so much potential being taken by a destroyer of dimensions and corrupted by his own bottled up rage and unacknowledged sorrow. Carmine would be upset, losing a strong and capable member of the team who he had attempted to help with his emotions(that a hope btw, please Carme help Sun).
