Suramar 🌌
I called my battle mage withered “hat boys” today, to which my friend said, “They’re not hat boys.”
They’re definitely Hat Boys.
PSA: Withered Army Training
If you open up a Webbed Victim and it’s a peaceful Withered inside, be sure to click on them right away. They have some sort of timer, cause I just watched one die after taking too long to recruit it.
Withered Army Tips

I cant even get past that second room past the hallway how tf do you do this???????
Make sure to take it slow. This is not a timed loot run, you can go at whatever speed you want. When I started succeeding, it was because I would pull one mob out of each room at a time, making sure it was dead and that I was at high enough health before I pulled the next one. Spend 2000 Ancient Mana, get 20 Withered. The more of an army you have, the faster things die, the less withered you lose. There are numerous one-time chests throughout the halls that require you to sacrifice 5 or 10 Withered, and the chest can then be opened at the end of the run. Get these as soon as possible. They contain permanent buffs to your army that will greatly increase your chances at success, and they are applied to your army the next time, and every time after, you enter the scenario. These buffs are - 25% increased health, 25% increased damage, reduced fear chance, increased hit chance, and a number of withered with special abilities (berserker, mana-rager, spell-seer, and starcaller). Once you’ve gotten to the first hallway with Fal’dorei, the spider-elves, there is a chance that an elite boss named Leystalker Dro will spawn. He is always in the scenario, but his location changes every time. This guy is a huge asshole. So before you start, I recommend getting the Ward of the First Arcanist from First Arcanist Thalryssa. She casts this on you when you revive her with 50 Ancient Mana, or you can spend 10 Ancient Mana to recieve it again. What this buff does, is that whenever you would have otherwise died, it creates a shield that slowly brings you back to near-full health, and starts killing anything that tries to get inside the shield. Leystalker Dro will essentially murder himself trying to get back to you. It is very possible to kill him without the shield, but if he catches you off-guard, the Ward helps ensure your run does not end earlier than you had hoped. There is also the special ability button that causes your army to go crazy and deal a bunch of increased damage - this pulls a lot of enemies in a very large radius, so I recommend only using it when you’re alone. It is very helpful against bosses, but only if the rest of the room is cleared out first. Remember to turn it off after the fight, because your army won’t follow you when it’s on. Finally, a lot of it is just personal experience. The more you try to finish the run, the more comfortable and familiar you’ll be with the entire place, and the more confident you’ll get that you will be able to finish it. You can read up on it, and watch videos, but the best way to learn is to do it yourself. I hope this helps, and good luck!
Probably my best run yet!
