{-- By the time she had come to terms with the deaths of the royal line, Tauriel had also realized just how much she needed to find Dis. It had taken a few days after the battle finished, but Tauriel managed to do so. For a good hour the Elleth debated leaving the stones and running, fear of what would happen finally coming forth. Three brave men had fought for what they believed in, fought for their homes and they'd all perished. Tauriel had been utterly devastated over Kili's death, and that was before the truth hit her that Fili and Thorin were both gone as well. They were all gone, Mahal had taken them from this plane and they would never see the happiness of their people again.
However, now the red haired Elf found herself standing exactly where she needed to be. Word had passed that those whom had survived would be travelling home, but Tauriel wanted to be here before they did. Dis deserved to have those stones back, she deserved to know. Her nerves clawed at her throat, stomach turning into knots, fingers fidgeting at her sides. Oh Aule, the stones were suddenly so much heavier in her pockets than they had been prior.
As the little Dwarven lady suddenly came into Tauriel's sight line, the Elf remembered she'd knocked thirty seconds prior. Now? Now she wasn't sure what to say, how to start. "D..Dis." Her voice found itself as light orbs blinked, trying to will away the tears. Oh god, she could see Kili in Dis. There was no turning back now. "I..I'm so sorry." It was then that the heavy stones found their way into her palm as she brought them forward to the female Dwarf.
"They..they were so brave..so strong - and I couldn't.."
The tears fell with little warning and suddenly fiery locks waved around her shoulders, Tauriel's body collapsing within itself as she felt the hard ground beneath the weight of her knees. How pathetic she must have seemed, showing up at Dis's doorsteps only to have a break down before the woman she'd never met. Again her voice trembled forth and another apology fell out.
"Amin hiraetha." }
