Clark had ran into the burning building for a couple of reasons, but the main one was to make sure that no one was still caught inside of it. As he realized that the firefighters must have done their job pretty well, he decided to run out through the back where the thought none of them will be. The blonde threw his jacket onto the floor and patted it down, seeing as how it had caught on fire, and used it to pat down the rest of his clothing. Just as he was about to turn again he spotted a man there, no doubt with the firefighter out front, and stopped dead in his tracks. “This isn’t what it looks like, I promise.”

          The tasteless PUN isn't intended & he almost winces at           how  the words sound, BRASH & ARROGANT  ( as per           his  reputation  )   though  he  didn't  intend  for  them  to           come across as such. The mess hall is near empty this           late  ( early ?? )  at  night,  though,  &  he's  GRATEFUL           for such a small mercy. It wouldn't do for anyone else to           witness  him  sticking  his  foot  in  his  mouth  ;  nor the           PANICKED double-take he'd made as his eyes first  fell           upon   the  mirror-image  of  his  one-time  co-pilot.  He           already haunts his UNCONSCIOUS mind,  it seems apt           enough  that  he'd  find  his  way into his WAKING world           too ...
