Binder review cause danm
WIVOV CORE CB01
I GOT THE TAPE TODAY!!!!!
Wivov binder review
Binding ability:
At first it was really, really impressive. However, within about a month, it stretched out so much that it became very average. Now, about 3 months on, I have to wash it relatively often so that it tightens up again.
Comfort:
It’s made of a nylon-Lycra blend, giving it probably the nicest feeling texture on a binder I’ve ever felt. The side seams are also covered, which is amazing. Overall, very sensory friendly.
The bottom is quite tight, which for me is a big pro because I don’t like wearing binders that are loose on the ribs. I know not everyone will like that though. I also have a large chest compared to my rib measurement, so what is only moderately tight for me may be very tight for someone else.
The front panel is ok, not great but it’s not bad at all.
Miscellaneous:
It takes forever to dry unless you dry it in a hot place. In winter, it takes about 24 hours to dry on a drying rack.
The price is very reasonable, but I’m not sure how ethically made these binders are, since they have no ethics or sustainability information on their website (that I can find at least).
I just got my first binders, they work about 100% better than my sports bra I was using! I bought Wivov CB01 and CB10, in the size it recommended to me. I know for most binders it says to size up because the measurements are off, but this one seems actually right. I am wearing the CB01 and it is surprisingly comfy. I tried both on, and they are actually not that bad to get on, but getting them off was a bit harder. I forgot to measure the one that is supposed to be more comfy, but the stronger one made what is usually a 86 cm circumference with a normal hook and cup bra to a 80 with the binder. I can breathe pretty well, and have full range of motion, but if you lay down it kinda cuts into the arm that is underneath at first but even that goes away after a moment. I will be updating this review as the day and week goes on but here I recommend this brand to people who want their first one because of how comfy they are, and easy it was to find out what style I wanted based on their description. It sadly does not come in many skin tones, but has many cool patterns.
I require advice about binders. Basically, my chest is bigger now than it used to be which means I am not getting as flat as I used to in a binder. I have Spectrum binders, and they get me sort of flat but not passably flat. So, I’m considering buying a new binder from a different brand. I’m looking at: ForThem (the MAX one, not the regular binder), CantiqLA, Amor Sensory, and Wivov. If anyone has any experience with any of these brands, please share them with me. The biggest factor for me right now is compression, though it does have to be sensory friendly which is why I’m not considering Underworks.
People who bind: do you recommend Wivov binders? I want to get their core binder in black because I can't really wear my Untag binder because the arm holes are too small, and I want to have at least one (usable) black binder. I want to get a Shapeshifters binder but those are... expensive (understandably so given they're custom made, but still). I'm planning on getting a Wivov binder before I order my Shapeshifters one and seeing if the Wivov one does a good job. If it does a good job, I may well not get a Shapeshifters binder at all, since Wivov is pretty cheap for a binder company.
For reference, I am a 32F (according to my measurements, I haven't worn a bra in years).
After like 4 attempts I FINALLY MANAGED TO APPLY MY TRANS TAPE CORRECTLY!!!!
I've had it on for a few days now and it is STILL comfortable and I am SO FLAT and I LURVE IT and YIPPEE
