Lapis Lazuli — favourite Billy headcanon:
Definitely is someone who would prefers to be on his own and isn't a major fan of people touching him. He puts up with being roughed around by his friends, but can go without it. Tommy especially who always has a hand on him, earning a "fuck off" most of the time, but nothing more than that. Just small things like his shoulder being touched, even in a non violent way makes him want to shrug it off, call it learned behavior.
It takes a while for Steve to learn it too, the certain ways Billy hates being touched, and others he just melts into. Touching his hair is fine, it's his favorite place to be touched, his shoulder not so much and his wrist even less. Billy knows he isn't going to hurt him but it still doesn't sit right.
Billy says he's working on it, Steve remembers it and gives him space when needs it. Tells him it's fine, that it's okay. Steve hides how much it means to him that Billy trusts him enough to know all of this. Loves the nights Billy lays in his lap and let's him play with his hair. When Billy eventually falls asleep on him, and Steve doesn't mind one bit.
